Agreed. Its just so bad!! Absolutely no footy talk! NRL on Fox is quickly becoming my favourite footy show

because its part of channel sevens bid for the NRL, its marketed as a rugby league show and involves rugby league players and stories as the basis for it all

One thing you should all remember is, channle 9 and fox have all the rights to RL footage and wont release any to Seven.

Seven is only allowed to ahow whatever is showed on the news. Maybe one reason why there are so many crappy skits.

Very good point! I really want the show to be successful for him! but right now it is seriously lacking something!!

Guys I got fed some dud info .... Here are the corrected ratings.

Week 1 - Thursday

15th - Seven’s Footy Show - (647,000) S=396,000 / M=42,000 / B=199,000 / A=2,000 / P=8,000

43rd - The Footy Show Nine - (267,000) S=167,000 / M=xxx / B=99,000 / A+P=xxx

Week 2 - Thursday

7th - Seven’s Footy Show Seven - (901,000) S=294,000 / M=313,000 / B=157,000 / A=81,000 / P=56,000

35th - The Footy Show Nine - (306,000) S=214,000 / M=xxx / B=92,000 / A+P= xxx

These results are deceptive.

Seven lost 144K viewers in NSW (102K) & QLD (42K), a net loss of 26% in the two key states.

Surprisingly ...they gained 398K everywhere else including a 640% increase in Melb.
An overall net gain of 39% Aust wide.

Nine had a net gain of 15% in comparison to Seven's loss of 26% in NSW/QLD.

the problem is his not professional enough and he's trying too hard.

like when he was doing a preview of one of the skits he goes here it comes.. then it was only just a preview then afterwards his like "oh sorry guys thats just a preview well have the rest of that.. after this break!"

They don't get the Matty Johns show in Melbourne (actually im pretty sure anywhere outside of NSW and QLD). They get an AFL show called The Bounce. So those increased ratings have nothing to do with Mattys show.

The Matty Johns show will never work. They are in a primetime slot so it can't be all about league but their skits are f*cken terrible. He is better off moving to a later time and discussing a bit more footy with a couple of skits thrown in here and there.
