Soccer The Manchester United SUPER Thread

Shouldn't have needed VAR though. He was blatantly offside. As were several others.

Problem is linesmen and refs in all sports are so bad at calling things in real time now because they rely on technology to do their jobs for them. So when they go back to a comp like this that doesn't use it, they forget how to officiate like they did for years before VAR etc.

should be bare minimum to have offside checks at these stages of the fa cup

United are lucky to be getting so much for Garnacho. He's quick and that's about it. He misses a million quality chances, he hogs it too much and he has a shitty attitude.
He is very wasteful in front of goal

Amad looks gone for the rest of the season with ankle injury.

gonna kms :sob: mainoo out for weeks too and ugarte and collyer also injured. we have no midfielders for tottenham and 3 attackers for the rest of the season we are actually so cursed

Seen some bad games of football in my time, but that was right up there.

It was like watching a bunch of 9 year Olds play with no tactical understanding of the game, everyone just chasing the ball.

Dreadful. How Spurs didn't put 3 or 4 more on you I'll never know as they were shocking themselves.

Is Amorim the answer? How has he improved you guys?

I can't think of one area where you're even marginally better?

I'd be selling garnacho in the summer just way too wasteful in front of goal every single game

Antony on fire in Spain, problem is clearly United (we all knew that)

I've been saying that for ages. United have made a million horrible moves and decisions for years now but one of the worst ones was not selling Garnacho for 50 million plus when they had the chance. He's shocking. I cant believe other clubs were interested at that price.

could easily have had a hatrick against spurs this morning if he was clinical

Yep thank fuck the garnished nacho choked.
Take b2b wins and clean sheets in the league.
Should be safe from relegation now

The way he blasts them into the crowd in easy one on one situations is alarming for a player at this level.
Yes, but it's a common theme at United with their attackers isn't it? Just look at Sancho and Antony when they left, and I'm sure Rashford will be the same.

Too much pressure? Too high expectations? Don't forget that Garnacho is still young, so there's plenty of time for him to improve

I get why people say they should've sold him as 50m is a lot, but it's easier said than done.

They'd already let got of Rashford and Antony. Had they sold Garnacho Amad would've been the only wide player at the club, right?

Big risk to take unless they had someone lined up to replace him?

well amad is out for the season now, I'm sure if they sold garnacho they would of gotten a replacement easily

I'd use beat Ipswich this week then use should be fine. relegation is pretty much between south Hampton Ipswich Leicester and wolves

Clearly not though as they would've sold him had they had a decent replacement. 50m for Garnacho is madness and they would've bit their hand off considering how much they need money.

Only reason I can see for not taking it is not having someone lined up. Had they sold him and got no one in then they'd be in even more shit

Football is a funny game.

Liverpool look to be doing well with a 7 point lead but if we lose a game ... anything can happen.

Same as with United. No one expects them to be in a relegation battle with a 12 point gap but they lose a few more and it could become a 6 point gap and you never know.

Can't see it happening but you just never know
