Any team with the likes of Ronaldo, Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno, Varane and Pogba has the fire power to put a run together and win 8 or 9 on the bounce. We were in the title race last season and lets not forget it took City putting together a 15 game winning streak in the league, and even then it was only a 4 point race until the last month of the season when we started resting players to focus on Europe and thats when they pulled away. Our biggest issue was our inability to score, we drew 11 games, thats what cost us the league. Out of the 11 draws, 8 finished 0-0.

So to counter that, we signed the greatest goalscorer the game has ever seen. We've levelled up, Ronaldo will score in the big games, he has proven it for 20 years that he can, we also have had decent results against big sides without him, so I dont think he will have any issue.

We also for the first time in years have depth. We may not have a DM but we have enough individual brilliance everywhere else.
Are you expecting wholesale changes for the champions league?

I still love the story Evra told about him going to Ronaldo's for lunch after training. Ronaldo served salad, plain chicken and water and didn't even let Evra finish eating before asking him to play two touch with him HAHA.
Or when he lost to Rio in table tennis, so he got trained for hours a day for two weeks and then invited the squad over to his house just to beat Rio in front of the whole team.

Back in the day they used to report he did 3000 sit ups a day.

Shout out to steve Nichols too
Said ronaldo will struggle to have any impact in the Epl and won’t find Newcastle easy upfront

Then never see the bloke again after the game as usual
All these blokes have magically disappeared. They try too hard to stay relevant.

Im expecting the majority of the first team to start. I think Fred comes in for Matic, I think thats the only definite one.

---------------DDG
AWB---Varane---Maguire---Shaw
----------Fred-----Donny
Sancho-----Bruno----Pogba
-------------Ronaldo

I think we will see wholesale changes next week for the cup tie. I wont be surprised Lingard starts either, but I think Ole will want to kick off our European campaign on a strong note and the likes of Ronaldo and Bruno will want to play.

Im going for a comfortable 3-0.

Yh he's built different, just freakishly driven. Salah is in the same mould.

Stevie Nichol is a LFC old boy and hence, his commentary has that bias --> eg. judged Virgil Van Dijk as the 5th best ever CB in the EPL era after only 18 months with LFC and ahead of the likes of Jaap Stam, Nemanja Vidić, Marcel Desailly, Sol Campbell, Ricardo Carvalho, Paul McGrath etc.

to be fair, VVD is great in his own right and he clearly had a great effect on Liverpool... but the casual disrespect to great CBs that did it year after year could only have been as a result of club or recency bias

Or because VVD is just better. I pick that option.

after 18 months?!

if it is on ability, Marcel Desailly is the best CB to play in the EPL IMO... if it is on impact, compare what Jaap Stam won for United from 1998 to 2001 with VVD now... if it is on achievements, what has VVD achieved that Vidić didn't?

too early

It's based on most Ballon d'Or points. He also smells good, probably.

Salah needs to become more marketable by making the same aesthetic improvements Brunaldo made. He needs to polish up off the field so to speak to make himself more appreciative.
Salah is fortunate he does not need to cap his teeth , like Brunaldo did.
Everyone remembers when Brunaldo first arrived at Old Trafford he had teeth that was a dentists worst nightmare. Salah is fortunate he has a nice smile .
Salah should also shave his beard so the footballing world can see how radiant his skin is and that unlike Brunaldo‘s pimple riddled face he does not need skin treatment involving skin peels. Another tick for Salah .
The next thing Salah needs to do is pierce his ears , preferably both so he can get with the times. Brunaldo was one of the first footballers to rock double earrings which made him more marketable to all the women in the world .
Moving onto the follicle side of things, Salah and Brunaldo have similar kind of hair , very difficult to manage as it is frizzy and curly.
It would serve Salah well if he cut his hair short, a high fade would suit him as it has suited Brunaldo.
Salah needs to trim and style his hair every 3 days like Brunaldo does, including getting his eyebrows contorted by a beautician .
Salah needs to start wearing make up too like Brunaldo when he’s not playing, it would hide all the imperfections .
And last by not least the odd rape allegation wouldn’t hurt either , Salah may want to look at forcing himself on women who play hard to get, force himself onto them even if it’s via the back door.
If Salah can do this then and only then will he be appreciated for the player that he is and the fact that he scored his 100 goals in the Premier league in quicker time than Brunaldo did .
