Milner is a good signing and Ings is a good reserve. Neither were signed to be our star player.

How many reserve strikers are Liverpool going to have next season?

Sturridge, Ings, Lambert, Balotelli, Borini, Aspas and Origi - what a strike force...

Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Ings becomes more than a squad player, very few quality strikers available on the market (p.s. Ings scored more goals than your current strikers, so he's already better than what you got.. wouldn't make sense if he's suddenly a bench warmer at Liverpool)

You had Champions League football last season and still couldn't attract any big names, hard to see you guys attracting any big names this summer transfer window

Your squad lacks quality, can only see the Top 4 sides further strengthening ahead of the new season

I too think Milner will help. He is a good signing.
But s4sonny is right, we have too many average or mediocre back up strikers . We need to sign some forwards with pedigree.
But at the end of the day it won't matter who we sign if Rodgers continues his delusional coaching, playing players out of positions and a system that doesn't suit the roster he has.

Someone in the FA must want Rodgers gone by November . The draw is out for next season and we play all our derbies in the first round away from home.
Arsenal , Man Utd, Everton, Chelsea , Spurs , Man City all away from home before the end of November.

Hopefully the trade off is that we have an easy run at the end of the season

Looks like we have picked up Brazilian striker Roberto Firminio for $59million . Sterling's sale will cover this transfer and leave us with some change for another signing.

Very good signing from what I have seen from him especially in the Copa America. Looks like he could really strike up a handy partnership with Couthino

Nathaniel Clyne looks like a good pick up for us at right back . and it seems we are very close to Benteke also.

I'm glad Steeling is gone. He was a distraction. Now if only Rodgers can spend that money wisely and bring in a couple of decent players.

Great business managing to mug off Man City for £45m + £5m add ons

Shows everybody how overrated English players are, if Sterling wasn't English then he'd probably cost £15m-£20m

No wonder so many clubs prefer to sign players from overseas, many of whom are a lot cheaper and go on to have better careers than the hyped up English players

Honestly don't want benteke for the money Villa wants there are much better much cheaper strikers hopefully we don't get desperate and pull another Carrol that would be a disaster

FFS Rodgers never learns. He is ready to active Benteke's buy out clause. He's not worth half that amount.

Benteke will be a beast at Liverpool.

Possibly. I might be wrong but im pretty sure he won the most aerial duels last season? Not going to get excited yet though.
