Soccer The Liverpool FC Super Thread

Think the funniest thing about this is the reason. Basically the PGMOL is saying that the VAR wasn't watching the game or he's an idiot that didn't understand the basics. So if its the first, what the fck was he doing and if it's the second, who's fckng decision was it to put @Blue_boost in charge? I know he's cheap but fck me, the PL makes some coin and can at least get someone that isn't a complete basket case.
Lol..perhaps he saw a hot chick in the crowd.. I love English women..

I’m hearing VAR was pissed off because he had just found out that Bullshitza’s multi had just lost . He took it out on us by implementing the motto ….“ chances are you’re just about to lose”.
VAR referees are very sensitive towards loser gamblers who have an annual betting turnover of $15,000,0000.00 annually .
Either way , everybody saw that Liverpool were hard done by.
btw Kloppball even with 10 had Angeball covered .

Is it a coincidence that the day a Pep coached City team lose we just happen to get absolutely hammered by the refs? Hmmm.

The league would much rather Liverpool win than Spurs as it sets up a better title race and Liverpool are a way bigger club.

No doubt Liverpool got rorted this game but I put that down to incompetence, not corruption. Especially when we've seen several howlers each week for most clubs.

Either way, the refereeing standards and VAR have never been worse across the league

Blatant corruption. No one can tell me any different. There's no way so many big decisions go wrong in one game.

Had they given the penalty on Gomez, which was a penalty, then it would've been a fair result.

Corruption. Simple as.

Well, that incompetence seems to be coincidently occurring in the same places week after week. For example, after 7 games.

Spurs Yellow Cards - 26. PL ranking for yellows #1 leads by 4 cards.
LFC Yellows - 13. PL ranking for yellows #13.

Spurs Red Cards. Zero. LFC Red Cards - Four.

And add in somehow Romero can handball in his own box and stop a gooner goal and not even get a yellow. So those 26 cards should be higher.

So LFC are somehow rolling along at a red every 3 yellows. The worst team for red cards last season (Wolves) had 6 all year - off the equal worst for Yellows 84.

And somehow - all the red cards are from people with PL experience. So cannot argue thats its a new league blah blah.

I'm not jumping on the conspiracy wagon but these stats are the most lop sided for any club for seasons. And I challenge anyone to say we're the new Millwall etc. If I'm Klopp, I'm going to the league and saying can someone please explain to me what the fck is going?

I think a lot of managers will be asking what the fuck is going on. I think with Liverpool it's probably half needing to be better defensively and show more caution in making challenges and half shit calls.

I hate how trigger happy the refs are with yellows and reds this season. Way more players have been sent off this year than at this stage in previous years

Why though Taz? They'd want Liverpool to win way more than Spurs. Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the main challenger to City along with Arsenal. Whereas Spurs are a nice story but they'll do well to finish top 4 and are nowhere near as big a club globally.

I understand you feeling that way because it was a shocking call that makes no sense and it should never happen but we've seen a dozen or more howlers that should never happen once reviewed this season for other clubs too. I don't think it's corruption. I think the refs are horrible at their jobs.

I've no issue with the yellows and red as along as they are consistent. Couple of weeks ago, if you charged the ref asking for a decision it was a yellow. Yet on the weekend, seemed like the Spurs players could do that with impunity.

I cannot stand City but Rodri gets a red for a light throat grab and a flop. Yet Biss looks Endo in the eye when he gets beaten and palms him right between the eyes. Classic fend off. And gets a yellow. Its becoming a laugh. Macallister gets a red and doesn't even get suspended - sorry - we screwed it up. I'm convinced Udogie took a dive when he felt contact from Jota (and tbf Jota should not have had his foot in their). But I can understand it because just prior, Udogie went through the back of Jota with no call.

Consistency isn't that difficult.

I think Rodri deserved his red for sheer stupidity and putting his hands on his throat but it was a Rivaldo-esque dive and not as bad as it looked. Agree that the lack of consistency is alarming and a massive problem

It's not about Liverpool. It's about sports betting.

There's no way so many clearly wrong decisions can happen in one game with 4 officials

it's been happening for years for other teams in the league as well.
Agree. Shocking decisions.

You can't look at those decisions from Liverpool last night, then hear their explanation and not think something is up.

This isn't about Liverpool. This is about all football in England.

Something stinks but refs are never held accountable

the refs in the prem can't all be that incompetent particularly when they have var to help them out.

if the premier league actually agreed to use the semi automated offside system they used in the world cup last year than they wouldn't of gotten the diaz goal wrong

I feel your pain man. I'd be just as pissed.
It's not really about being pissed in regard to the game. It's just ruining football this and when you see it continually covered up it's very hard to take it seriously anymore.

Sports betting is ruining everything

What a shitshow. Everyone needs to be fired after this. Not stood down for a week or two.. Fired..
Its Benny Hill stuff isn't it. Before we sack them, need to find out what they were up to at the time. Were they watching another game? Smoking cones and someone was packing and the crew were making sure overs/unders were covered. Watching porn. Watching porn with a circle jerk.

Should stop now but.....

So many unanswered questions.

liverpool 28-5 VAR decisions and still have a massive lead
