I thought we were chasing a world-class striker? I mean ok, even if we do get Vardy, Man Utd will get Ibrahimovic.

Wtf are we doing?

I think its Wengers last season so signing a 29 yo striker is saying he wants to win next season and is not planning for after that..Ferguson did the exact same thing
except fergie had won the league 10 times before that

Vardy looks like to have snubbed arsenal to stay at Leicester.

Ricardo rodriguez from wolfsburg the left back and Mkhitaryan from dortmund have been linked to signing for arsenal over the last few days

We have bought a striker....unfortunately he is a 21 year old Japanese player. Really hope he isnt our only striker purchase, saying that he looks like a decent prospect and the boy can finish

Fuck I hate that frog **** more and more every day.
You'll love him even more now bro.

We've just signed Rob Holding. Some under-21 player from Bolton for... wait for it... £2m !!!!!!

Signing of the season. With him and Sanogoals ready to go, we're on track to miss out on the top 4.

Wenger swore he'd show some ambition in this transfer window. And there it is!

He will ruin us before he gets sacked at the end of next season.

They'll never sack him. He'll just retire and then no quality manager or player will want to go near us with a 10-ft pole

Arsenal agree deal to sign Rob Holding

We have agreed to sign young defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers on a long-term contract
The 20-year-old enjoyed a promising first senior campaign in 2015/16, making 30 appearances for Bolton and winning the club's player of the season award.

This summer, Rob helped England Under-21s to victory in the Toulon tournament in France alongside Calum Chambers.

Rob is a versatile player, comfortable at both centre back and full back, and we look forward to him joining up with the squad. His transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

We remain in the market, so stay close to Arsenal.com for any further transfer news.

Riyad Mahrez is likely to join Arsenal, according to our Eurosport colleagues in France.
Arsene Wenger wants the Algerian, who starred for Leicester in their title win last season, to bolster his forward line which already includes Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, and Theo Walcott.

After Mahrez decided on a move to Emirates Stadium, the move could happen soon with a price around the €50m mark.
It will be a further blow to manager Claudio Ranieri after he already lost star midfielder N'Golo Kante for £30million to Chelsea.

The Italian had told Sky Sports earlier in the week: "It's over, the market is over here Mahrez wants to stay."

However, it is understood the 25-year-old's agent met Arsene boss Arsene Wenger in Lens, where the Gunners were playing a pre-season friendly on Friday.

The deal could be announced in the next few days after Wenger said at a press conference that the club are still very "active" in the transfer market.
