Thomas Vermaelen has extended his contract to end 2015. Great news for us and have tied up a leader if RVP were to move on.

Great news. He should be back soon. Expected to be back in full training this week.

Have you seen the video of our medical centre on Arsenal.com? Impressive and state of the art. Apparently instrumental in getting TV back into training earlier than originally expected.

OMG how good is that gravity-less treadmill thing? That'll help get players straight back into playing after their rehab.

There is equipment straight out of NASA. Where else would they invent something like this?

1-0 win against Marseille (away). 92nd minute winner by Ramsey put us ahead of the group halfway through the group stages. Very poor game but 3 points is 3 points.

Having played our two hardest games of the group stages (Borussia Dortmund and Marseille away), it's a great result to be top of the group.

As it stands now:
Arsenal 7
Marseille 6
Olympiakos 3
B Dortmund 1

Marseille still have Arsenal and Dortmund away so if we win next match day, against Marseille, we should finish first in our group.

I'd like to see Ox, Miyaichi and Park get a run in the Carling Cup, especially since we have Chelsea a few days later.

Surely RVP is due for a rest, the guy has been giving his everything in every game this year. I am dying to see Myiachi and looking forward to seeing the Ox get a start

That was a nice change for us. Usually we get scored against late in matches. It was pretty to watch.

It is going to be a tough 2 weeks. Realistically, we should pick some of the players mentioned in the carling cup. Not too fussed how we go in that comp, because we are no longer a certainty for the Champions League, and have to do all we can to make up ground and finish top 4. Barclays & CL should be our focus atm.

Perhaps Chamakh can start against Stoke and RVP can substitute if required. Also have Park to consider, and Walcott with Ox on the flank. We are well covered wide with Walcott, Gervinho, Ox, & Arsharvin all capable. Up front is a different story.

I'm not fussed about the Carling Cup but I will be in London for the quarter finals so I'd like to go watch Arsenal, so hope we beat Bolton. Would really like to see Park get a run. He's been doing well in the international games he's played since we've signed him so possibly a sub against stoke.

A win tonight really will get us back into the top half after Liverpool hiccup last night.

This is the thing after a poor start, every bloody game is must win and resting players becomes so risky, start RVP, 2-0 at ht, see how the first 20 mins of the 2nd half pans out and give him a rest, its not just his goals but his leadership has become so important to us. Would like to Arteta score with 5 mins to go and give us a 3nil win!!!!

COME ON ARSENAL!!!

Anyone know if Vermalean will be back for Chelski?
