PSG have added Sergio Ramos, Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Wijnaldum and now MESSI! to a team that already boasts Neymar, Mbappe, Verratti, Marquinhos, Navas etc.

there has always been money and influence in football (eg. Berlusconi with AC Milan, Bernard Tapie with Olympique Marseille, Franco with Real Madrid, Abramovich with Chelsea, Moratti with Inter Milan, Akhmetov at Shakhtar Donetsk etc.)... I get it... even rich people are fans of the world game... hell, the rivalry between the Medellin and Cali cartels got played out on the football field, too with 'Nacional' and 'America' clubs

but this is getting ridiculous and unsustainable... the very concept of competition is being undermined

f*+# PSG!

Mbappe will be gone in a year. They'll be left with 35 year old Messi, 30 year old Neymar, 36 year old Ramos etc

They wont win the champions league next season, their squad is so much better than the rest of the league but theyve come 2nd in 2 out of the past 4 seasons.

They added those players for $0 in transfer fees. All were free agents. They did nothing wrong.

Also besides Messi none of those players are in the top 5 in the world in their position so let's not act like they're adding great players. Besides Messi and Donnarumma none of the players were wanted by their own clubs.

PSG will also have a wage bill with Messi which is three to four times their nearest competitor in the French first division

Hakimi was not so much unwanted but Inter are in financial dire straits and have been saving money --> buying out Conte's contract, selling Hakimi, supposedly selling Lukaku for €100+ million etc.

Wijnaldum let his contract run out to sign with a new club on a free transfer and was going to sign with Barcelona until PSG stepped in and offered him twice the wages

signed Donnarumma even though PSG already have a very good and underrated keeper in Navas... and Donnarumma will earn double what he was earning at AC Milan... is a top 5 keeper and won the golden ball at these Euros

Real wanted to keep Ramos and offered him a one year deal on a reduced salary but Ramos did not accept it in time --> Ramos says he didn't realise the offer expired and wanted to accept it... must also be noted that Real are not in a particularly healthy state financially either

PSG are the Ben Johnson of football... I don't care what they win... it holds no value IMO

Besides Messi I wouldn't want any of them at Liverpool.

Big clubs have always done this through history and PSG are no different. I have no issue with what they are doing.

Agreed. Its nothing new and it wont guarantee success. Real Madrid had the famous galacticos side of the 2000's that were more stacked than this PSG team and they went 12 years without winning a champions league. PSG has had Neymar, Mbappe, Verratti, Marquinhos, Di Maria and even Thiago Silva and Ibra in recent years and theyve struggled in Europe.

AHAHAHAH
this poor kid has played about 65 games in the space of 9-10 months. Played in almost every game and comp for barca, went straight to the Euros, then flew to Japan and played in the Olympics and came straight back into the first team. Cracking player though.
It's unhealthy, can't believe he has played so much.

They owe 19 clubs money for past transfers apparently. Is there any legitimate way out for them? other than going bankrupt?

They'll surely be issued a transfer embargo by UEFA as well as a few player sales to pay back the clubs that are owed money. The whole Spanish league is going down the shitter, they're currently cutting a deal with CVC investments for a 10% stake of the league in exchange for 2.7 billion.

They're totally fucked, I don't even know where to begin with it. They also still have to pay Messi 91m lololol. Just shows why they were so desperate the ESL.

According to these reports Liverpool's wage bill is the 5th highest in Europe, more than your lot. Our bonuses are absolutely insane :tearsofjoy:

Their president has come out saying he wants to ship out a few players but De Jong, Pedri, Fati etc are untouchable. I dont know who they think they can get good money for if they dont want to sell any of their good players. No one is going to touch Griezmann at 800k/week wages.

Who the fuck are liverpool paying to be so far up on the wage bill, we will give you Ed Woodward to sort your club out ;)

Now there's news linking them to Auba? Haha. Batormeu has totally fucked them. You can keep him, we're good. Will be the interesting to see what Mo's new salary will be like, currently 200k a week but reports it works out to about 300k with the bonuses...
