Advantage City. With their ridiculous depth and these rules the title is basically there's to lose.
Too close, Chelsea even has a sniff
You blokes lead at Xmas and new year last year and city won
So might be other way around this year

City's depth is too good in key positions, we just can't match it. Fabinho gone and there's a massive drop off in quality with Hendo at DM, Thiago also gone and there's our support in the holding role gone. We need another DM or at the very least someone to support in the holding role. Morton is a skinny 19 year old B2B and he's our third choose DM lol. Keita, Hendo, Ox, Elliott, Jones are all too attack minded. I still think Matip could play DM like he did in Germany but Klopp has never tried it.

Definitely advantage City but wouldn't say the title is there's to lose ... just yet.

Tho we could very well be saying that by the end of the festive period.

Thing is, they've been very lucky with some results of late. The handball which clearly wasn't is one clear error.

Even tho they've had that greater squad depth they really haven't performed at a higher level than Liverpool for example. Just been luckier in their results and Liverpool been unluckier in ours

What about their depth up front?

Agree about DM and us tho.

City and their dominance have defined this era. It really must be frustrating as a Liverpool fan with your team being so dominant for years now and only have the one PL title to show for it domestically.

The 80s was the Liverpool Era
The 90s was the United Era
The 00s was the United and Chelsea Era

But the 10s will always be seen as the City Era unless Liverpool can win it this season.

Football works in cycles, and sometime soon we will see another side or two dominate for the next 4-6 years, its only normal.

Need more than 2 titles to dominate an era
10’s are over and belong to city

New decade now and city started on top again

Ange postecoglou making a name for himself in Europe, that’s the only thing I’m currently interested in

For all the big talk from us Liverpool fans we've only won one title. I'd say we'd need to say we win 3 at a minimum to say it's a Liverpool era.

At least 2 would allow them to be in the discussion but they really may regret not investing more whilst on top. Every cycle must end and whilst their memories will live on, the history books will only show their name once. Surprised they didnt win any domestic cups for all their dominance either.

Even 2 I don't think we'd be in the discussion. Great to win one title but if that's it during Klopp's reign then it's a failure

Levy really rattled Pep, didn't miss his opportunity to take a shot at him all these months later :tearsofjoy:

Pep Guardiola again on Ferrán to Barça: “If you are not happy, you have to leave. We’re not a club like other teams when you want to leave CEO and president say no”. #MCFC

“If Ferrán wants to leave and go to Barcelona, absolutely no problem - I'm happy for him”. @City_Xtra

depends... I really think Tottenham made the error in not cashing in... and City just might be thankful in that it allows them to go for a younger, better, longer term centre forward

and Pep can now play the "we are too big, too principled a club to keep a disgruntled player that wants to leave" card as Rangnick has already about United players that want to leave... and still likely win the EPL

Barca have somehow come up with 50m+ and no doubt Torres will be on decent wages too after being over a billion in debt.

I believe they've actually gotta sell players for FFP? I read that they've got a massive bank loan so they have the 'cash' but they need to get players off the books. Apparently ...
