I heard Gallen talk on the radio the other day (MMM Brisbane breakfast show). He was generally actually speaking quite well, confident, not too arrogant. He even noted his earlier fights were novelty events but he's now very serious and believes he will beat Browne.

But the next thing he said had me scratching my head. He said the next fight after Browne and basically his ultimate goal is to fight..... Sonny-Bill Williams. How is that the ultimate prize?

Paul Gallen v Lucas Browne..

Can anyone see Gallen beating him?

He is too short. It's hard to generate power in a punch when punching one foot above your head. Try it..

Where Lucas Browne punches are perfect for power to gallens head. The height of Gallen is perfect for Browne.

If Lucas Browne is halfway fit he should obliterate him

Gallen only chance is a decision based on a higher work rate. I can't see Gallen hurting him

Yes, he is a flog. But if you want to cheer him go for it. I'm just not a fan of Gal, never have been.
Haha ex NSW captain mate, gotta support him. In all seriousness I really like the bloke, never afraid to say things or upset people. Been a warrior for a long time now.

Umm, if you know anything about boxing, being short isn't necessarily a disadvantage.

Look at Tyson, Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather all have fought much taller opponents in their time.

But same weight division so taller usually means leaner too, so it squares up the contest.

Lucia Browne is a good 15kg heavier, huge reach advantage and gallens head is like a t-ball really to be hit into the park.. his head at the perfect height for a home run .

Gallen punching upwards, just can't generate the same power.

Not to mention Browne is a handy fighter as well, despite the size advantage. He had only lost to proper fighters, plus he has KO most he has come up against

My thoughts Browne win by TKO in round 3.
