Mistake not picking Xerri.
Kiraz isn’t a centre. Plus he’ll be unfit coming off an injury.
Mahoney needs to work on his tackle efficiency too, he missed 20% of his tackles against sharks, do they against Parra and their middle will destroy us
I’m not defending Reed cos I believe he needs to be better defensively this season but in last trial a lot of his missed tackles was when his initial contact he got bumped back for a split second then he completed the tackle immediately and no harm done

Stats can be deceiving sometimes

I feel like Taafe is being crucified at the moment but I reckon if Tracey was fb in trials we'd be saying we want Taafe not Tracey.

Personally I don't get the hype around Tracey. I feel there is more upside to Taafe.
Ye agree that Taffe is being crucified because he had an off night, the guy is quality and it’s funny g
how people dont see the positive things he dies

man he’s rubbish. Overrated. Think about how crucial the fullback position is. If he was that good why wouldn’t any other club pick him up? I’d rate him at the bottom fullbacks that playing first grade… I’d take that klockstead guy instead

Is it worth looking about the first 12 weeks of the draw before settling on the Rd 1 side?
The first six weeks are much tougher than the following six.
Eels, Sharks, Titans, Rabbitohs, Roosters, Storm. A very tough start to the season.
Maybe hold-off on the younger players until Rd 7 & the Knights - use the experienced players to get the defensive structures right first, even if they haven't trialled.
After the Knights there is a bye and Tigers, Panthers, Raiders, Dragons and Knights again.
These rounds would be a better time to experiment.
Taaffe, Xerri and Sexton could also be held back until Rd 7.

Based on training today - when they do scrimmage type drills - level below opposed sessions - Kiraz will be right centre Wilson right wing Hutchison half xerri in reggies with knight, sexton. Only change from Sharks game - kiraz or xerri

Edwards, Hughes, Todd only light running - were joined by Kikau who seemed to injure himself during training.

Patolo Sutton Oloapu - just watching

Didnt see Clarke.
Such a light back 3.

Just not sure how we will get out of our own end.

Surely the coaching staff realise this though and come up with a different game plan to other teams when working the ball out of trouble.
