In a lead up to round 1 - thought i would start a Team of the Noughties poll to bring out our best 13 from 2000-2009.

Starting with Fullbacks. Poll will be up every 2 days. Starting with fullback.

Options:

Anthony Minichello
Billy Slater
Rhys Wesser
Brett Hodgson
Brett Stewart

Mini for me. He was on fire until his back injury. Slater has been better for about 3 or so years but I think Mini did enough early on to be the best fullback of the 00's.

Slater, followed by Minichiello.

Slater has always been in great to top form, Mini lost his form over the last few years due to his back injury.

Hard to pick.

Mini dominated the first few years, Slater the other.

Put them together and consider every aspect of fullback play - I pick Mini. Sure he is not as potent in attack but he is not prone to consistent brain explosions either.

I vote mini as well.

Comparing both at their peaks, Mini is a better all-round fullback

Mini was 'the man' at his best, he still has to be watched.

Slater is naturally more talented and he has showed it on the park. Sure he has a brain explosion or 2 but he makes it up by scoring the impossible try, somethin Mini or most fullbacks other than prob Matty Bowen couldnt do

Mini was a freak. Not just his attack, but some of the bombs he defused, some of the amazing try saving tackles he pulled off that no other fullback would have done. Slater is probably better in attack than Mini ever was, but overall I think Mini was a better player.

Ahhh I will always remember Mini's dominance in the early part of the 00's. I watched so many roosters games growing up(ew lol) and he was just a freak, if only it wasn't for his injuries he could have been outright the best fullback this decade. I still say him over Slater though. Absolute freak.
