I dont mind it, except for Britt. He's a plodder, Waddell, C Smith or even Stimson offer so much more

I know we all trust Baz. But if he doesnt go with something close to this in round 1 there will be a lot of upset kennelers.

-Napa not starting
-Stimson on the bench over Katoa (mentioned by Barrett training in the middle, lock rotation role)
-Ogden on the bench over Britt

... are all real possibilities.

I'd agree with you on the rest.

Jackson and Elliott could also swap positions (not what I'd go with).
There are a few other small tweaks I can see Barrett going with (even tho I wouldn't).
 
With Pearce doing his best to disrupt the Knights preparation, I give us a real chance for round 1. As long as Baz picks a team which doesn't have Lewis or Wakeham. God I hope Averillo carves up at 6 with Flanagan in the trials.

The disruption at the knights plus ponga out I think we are a real chance. And we have a pretty good record against the knights aswell.

Barrett’s recruitment so far suggests to me that he does not think averillo is ready to hold down a regular position in the run on side. At best I think baz will have averillo on bench competing with Katoa for the utility role. As much as I hate to admit it I think baz will go with Lewis at 6 purely because of having more nrl games than avo. I also think Stimson over Britt for the bench spot and then you have something very close IMO to what Barrett will go for in round 1.

Other than that I think your side looks pretty close to what we are going to see in round 1.

Ok, if this is true at least put Avo on the bench. Lewis just cannot be in the 6, or Wakeham.....unless they show Baz massive improvement. In the trials over the 2 games, give 1 half to each player (Avo, Lewis, Wakham and Hoppa). Whoever plays best should get the nod.
If Avo is on the bench for Round 1 I would go with:

If Avo is on the bench, let him play a Craig Wing role roving around the ruck / support play (defending wider next to Jacko and Katoa or JMK will need to battle it out to be our 80 min hooker. I would much rather Avo at 6, but apparently he's not ready. Take a chance on him Baz!
