Doorey is in the top 30 I presume the picture of the team on Insta has everyone that’s been named including Doorey but doesn’t include others like Topine or Schoupp

They are development players who we can use after June 30
Give them experience in reggies to harden up

Update number 627166177727777:7621:

1. Allan
2. Cotric
3. Staggs
4. Hoppa
5. DWZ
6. Burton
7. Flanagan
8. Hethrington
9. JMK (really need a 9)
10. Thompson
11. Waddell
12. RFM
13. Jackson

14. Averillo
15. Elliot
16. Atoni

JAC is no chance whereas if we keep persisting with Burton he will come early sooner or later due to lack of opportunities.

Someone in another thread seems very confident Averillo won’t be in squad. Leaves Lewis and Wakeham to battle for the six spot, assuming we don’t get Burton early. I’d rather see Averillo at least get a spot on the bench if not in the run on

Averillo not at 6 would be mind blowing. Averillo's a genuine five-eighth and has a good running game which would compliment Flanagan so well. There is a 99% chance Lewis is out the door after this year and as a player I've preferred him over Wakeham, but Wakeham's had less of an opportunity and is younger so I've always said he could potentially be better. We're restricting ourselves if Lewis or Wakeham are in the 6, I just can't see it happening.

So what do you do with Averillo when Burton arrives?

Burton isn't here until 2022. It depends on how Allan's playing because Averillo is a preferably a five-eighth, but I think could also play fullback (five-eighth is off the cards when Burton arrives). I think Averillo's struggled in the centres/wing, but if that's all that's left then I'd have him play in the centres and not re-sign Hopoate, unless we can move DWZ on (then we could play Cotric wing, Averillo centre and keep Hopoate). There are too many variables now, but for 2021 Averillo is five-eighth (unless Burton is released). We need to see how individuals play in 2021.

Yeah it’s a tough call. Averillo has potential, we all know that but where do we put him .? We keep buying he’s potential positions! I’m sure Barrett is scratching he’s head as well!

Don't think Barrett is scratching his head at all. He knows what he's doing. We will know his plans soon enough.

Am i the only one who thinks Ogden is to big and not mobile enough for the modern game?
I agree. He does bend the line on occasion and make a big hit so I’d like to persevere with him this year and see what he does under a different off season program and coach. In saying that he is a total liability in defence at times and is a massive target for the opposition with his lateral movement. He’s got a long way to go.

There are a lot of comments putting Lewis in the 6. Barrett surely can't do this based on the amount of shocking plays he did last year. It will be the first error from Baz if he does it. Then it won't matter how good an organiser Flanagan is, Lewis wont let him see the ball and will demand to do all uncontested bombs because surely it will work this year......

My team for 2021:
1. Allan (ball playing fullback and a bit quicker than Hoppa)
2. DWZ - I know he had butter fingers but his runs out of our red zone are very strong
3. Hoppa - feeding his winger good ball with those silky hands
4. Cotric - keen to see his tackle busting in the blue and white
5. Okunbor - has potential to be massive (Meaney while he's injured)
6. Averillo - need to just let him run in space, like Keary
7. Flanagan - most of the kicking and implementing the game plan
8. Thompson - will be much better this year (a point to prove). Renouf to replace while injured
9. JMK - again, hoping for big improvement running off a faster, more mobile pack
10. Hetherington - controlled aggression and no 4th tackle settlers ;-)
11. Jackson - defend through the middle (what Tolman did for us but better)
12. RFM - the mans got great footwork and a good offload, SUPPORT HIM!
13. Elliot - cant wait to see his energy, aggressive runs and big hits without the errors and silly penalties
14. Waddell - and if he doesn't give us impact, Doorey or Smith is skillful
15. Katoa - I like his service out of dummy half better than JMK but he also has a silly hero play in him that he needs to cut out.
16. Renouf - good footwork and again has an offload, give him an opportunity to step up. Maybe Stimson he Renouf starts
17. Napa - short burst so he can run harder of punt him for Ogden if he's not performing!

I'm liking the competition we now have in the forwards especially and the bench. If someone has a few chances and doesnt perform. CYA
