If you go off 2023 form he's been the best centre in the comp probably with Farnworth (if we extend over 2 to 3 seasons still have to give it to Manu but he's right up there). If we play him centre next year for him to be worth what we're paying him he'd need to be the best centre in the competition which is unlikely to happen given our team, environment and track record. I still think we'll play him fullback to justify what we're paying him (I think he can transition to fullback, one of the most athletic and skilful players in the competition). I also think we had no choice but to sign him (and I've wanted him myself for over 2 years), even with what we're paying him, it was an obvious signing to make.
