As far as I'm aware SBW was not shot by a sniper and no projectiles were hurled at him. The most he copt were boos and a few wanker chants.

Yet all of last week the media were anticipating (almost baiting us) the worst. Along with former players, current players, commentators, even our club and our captain weren't giving us much credit.

So to the media I would just to say a big fuck you.

And to the rest of us, well done.

You don't need to be congratulated for behaving as you should.

I think what Moe is trying to say, is that he is looking for the papers to write an article that they were wrong with there opinions and accusations on the Bulldogs supporters during the build up to the game........

Maybe Todd Greenburg should come out and thank the supporters for their good behavior, it's the only way the media will make a story of it

I'd be more interested in the club coming out and saying sorry for the most pathetic preformance we have put in the past couple of years, we are going to do something about it. if it means dropping players so be it.

I'd imagine the roosters giving us an absolute hiding probably shut alot of our supporters up. Would be interesting to see how people would have acted if things were reversed.

There was an article from Michael Carayannis in the SMH on Saturday about sitting in the dogs army.

Can't find the article...

here it is

SONNY BILL WILLIAMS can quieten a crowd as much as he can be a turnstile drawcard.
I ditched the comfort of the press box on Friday night to sit with the Bulldogs faithful in Bay 23, right behind the posts, for the anticipated clash against the Roosters.
All they wanted was some verbal retribution on Williams.
And they started early. If you weren't looking at the stadium's big screen you would have been forgiven for have not knowing the home side was being introduced until Williams flashed on the screen and boos and jeers filled the stadium.

I was plonked next to Dean Amedov, a fleet manager, who likes to call the Bulldogs army home at away games. Seated strategically just to the right side of the hardcore Dogs fans, he said while the current Bulldogs players weren't there when Williams left the club he hoped they would do it for their fans – a sentiment shared by those blue and whites surrounding him.
It took less than a minute for the Bulldogs Army to find their voice, starting the “We are the Bulldogs Army” chant.
There was war paint and flags with a trickle of police presence.
One fan had a blunt message for Williams with his “SBW – we haven't forgotten” banner.
In parts my view of the game was restricted by half a dozen youths dancing along to the beat of the traditional Lebanese drums.
That was matched only by the chant of "Stand Up if you hate Sonny Bill" when it was standing room only in the Bulldogs pack. They kept this up throughout the game.
They adapted a tune familiar to Queensland icon Wally Lewis, about Sonny being a banker or somesuch.
Then there was deathly silence as Williams had the first laugh with his first touch of the ball, again breaking the hearts of his former club.
His cut-out pass to put Roger Tuivasa-Sheck over only added to the deep wounds felt by the Bulldogs faithful, and Williams rubbed it in with a first pump at the Dogs fans.
“He is a good player . . . and all those Bulldogs fans booing him, I bet they have him in their fantasy competitions. But not me,” Amedov lamented.
Others weren't so kind: “You're a dog,” said one. And in a former life he was, and perhaps deep down they all wish he still was too.

90% of Dogs supporters didn't give a crap about SBW... we just wanted to win the game. The media turned it into what it 'was'.

Yep. Toddy and Inu visited the army before kick off.....

Credit to all the Doggies fans there ...the a-hole ground announcer (Jimmy Smith of 2SM )....
was baiting the Dogs fans , the SBW wank fest was shoved down our throats ..it was like someone
stealing your girlfriend then rubbing it in right in front of you on how good she is...
(not that it has ever happened to me =P )

Just curious ... they turned Sonny's a wanker into Sonny's a Rooster ...isn't it the same thing????

Did Ben Barba ever get an apology from channel 9/Wally Lewis about the gross accusation relating to domestic violence?

Or did we as a club get an apology from Channel 9/everyone else when it was found our players weren't verbally abusing her on Mad Monday?

I don't think channel 9 want to give us anything after their bs incident, if it was true they deserved what they got for following (stalking really) our blokes after a long season had ended but they thought it was okay to report everything about their off time. They should of just backed away and I never saw anything about them following another teams Mad Monday...

Yeah you'll get an apology. As soon as the NRL apologises to Brett Stewart.

You're dreaming if you think Nein will apologise when they tell the story wrong. They have been proven so many times to be wrong yet they continue to report it as the truth.
