If it were me living there, I'd start slow. Might put up some balloons and flags on property for week one to remind everyone "we're here again, welcome back".

Week two ... might walk the streets a few times, share some smiles with the day-trippers.

Week three (QF) ... things are in full swing.

Week four (GF) ... everything and everyone is off chops.

2012 gf was far better than last year tbh. they blocked off the main section (jobels corner) and fark all atmosphere. very disappointing

2012 had allot of band wagoners, not to mention we won 12 straight and finished first.

i was referring more to the traffic being blocked off hence no real party atmosphere, but yeah youre prob right.
