taller, faster, still great in contact and is capable of making 200m with great ability to finish tries off. How this translates to NRL is obviously yet to be seen but his transition from Flegg > Cup this year took many by surprise I think. Has developed immensely over just 1 off season.

Guessing the plan will be to use Wilson as the permanent back up and to give Sua a sprinkle of NRL next year
 
As long as don’t lose all of our potential talents for Fox!! Disappointed but it is what it is. Tigers is going to be a shit show, there is no light even peeking through their dark tunnel so best of luck to him at that club.
 
Skelton's manager may well be a cross between Mister Magoo and Richie Rich.
 
What is annoying we spent all that time teaching him league from Rugby and improving his defence and attacking play rapidly this year, just for another club to reap the rewards.

What is the point of the 'project' as Gus would say if we are never going to play him anyway. One thing ciraldo got wrong this year was playing wilson over skelton when fox got injured because I still think Skelton has 5x more potential and can be a game breaker.
 
it is very disappointing to lose him - I saw him getting better and better. It is a big loss - but we are in a situation where there is a surge of talent flowing through and hence our talent will be on the radar of other clubs a lot more.
 
It isn't confirmed anywhere, any chance it isn't true? Gus said he was meeting with his manager only a week or two ago
 
10 day cooling off period IIRC which the players former Club can counter an offer.
 
Gus probably wanted to see exactly what the market would really pay before he decided to swoop or let him go.
 
Reckon Tigers will get a spoon with Suruva, Skelton and Bula on kick returns? I’m strapped in for the ride reckon they’ll come close. For The Boys Benji (FTBB) will display his exemplar coaching skills again next year before he gets sacked for the next tigers “we go again” docco.
 
Maybe his poor record with suspensions contributed to the decision. I feel like he’s spent quite a bit of time on the sideline this year because of them. I can’t seem him named anywhere this week so assuming another suspension?

I'm definitely glad we're keeping Hayes over Skelton, easy decision imo.

Glad we are getting a taste of this early to prepare us for the future. We are becoming a development club again, it's a product of success in current state of the game.
 
While it's a shame to lose him we're stacked in the outside backs.
It also shows we can develop players who buy in. He came to us with no league background and he earnt his way through to a first grade jersey. Good luck to him in Tiger Town.

I know you really don't mean that, I think you are taking this just as bad as I am, and I am really spewing because I am a huge Skelton fan, however in your earlier post you did say "CLUB FIRST" and he is still a Bulldog till the end of the year and has played as such every time he plays for us, with Wilson out for the rest of season and Fox injury prone we may have to call on his service's seeing we're so close to making the finals, and I know if Stubben Ciraldo calls him up and gives him a run for the finals he will not disappoint and he will make Ciraldo regret that he could not find a place in our team to squeeze in this X factor

Great to see juniors coming through. How many of the 17 that took the field against the Dragons came through our system - probably 4 or 5. That is the key to sustainable success.

At the time I was correct, the time we were lucky to score a few tries and couple of field goals.

Whats the point of bringing it up now, to make you feel better or something?
