The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs would like to congratulate six contracted country kids on their selection in the Country Under 18s team.

Ben Rumble, Braye Porter, Mark Simon, Finnley Neilsen, Luke Smith and Peter Conroy were named in the side following the Regional Representative Finals Day with Central Coast Roosters winning the Andrew Johns Cup (Under 16s) and Laurie Daley Cup (Under 18s)
All six players are contracted to the Bulldogs and featured in the Laurie Daley Cup during the 2021 season, and will represent the Bulldogs during their matches against City on the weekend of 15-16 May.

Rumble, a fullback or an outside back player for the Illawarra South Coast Dragons and hails from the Riverina area. He is the younger brother of Jersey Flegg player Zac.

Porter played five-eighth for the Western Rams, but can also play fullback. A goal-kicker who hails from Dubbo will be re-located to Belmore to play SG Ball in 2022.

Simon, a prop forward from the club’s catchment area of Greater Northern Division recently signed a two-year deal with the club and will be wearing the blue and white in 2022.

Neilsen from the town Parkes, played for the Western Rams and can play as a middle forward or edge back-rower.

Smith, a back row forward from the club’s catchment area of Greater Northern Division recently signed a two-year deal with the Bulldogs to wear the blue and white in 2022.

Conroy, a Coffs Harbour junior and a middle forward from our country feeder area of the North Coast Bulldogs. He signed a three-year deal with the club to re-locate to Belmore in 2022.

The under 18s will play alongside the 16s and Open Men’s team.

Conroy is from up my area as I mentioned before he got the drive to make it he was playing a year above this year in the Andrew Johns Cup hopefully works out for him he a good kid

Have heard good things about Peter Conroy. Here's hoping that these youngsters can be stars of the future...
He got what most football clubs looks for when they want to sign a kid hard working got the right head on his shoulders not a kid that's got tickets on him self only 16 played 18s for Andrew Johns Cup this year its is pretty good if people haven't seen him can play a number of positions more suited to backrow can hit in defence knows how to offload and can ball play and runs a strong line also a bonus he is a strong goal kicker will only improve with better coaching in the years to come is also is a strong boxer as well wish him all the best for the future

Good to see some players filtering in from the country areas partnerships that we put in place a few years back. You can't sustain success long term without having quality juniors coming into the side. We built our best eras on producing talent and only having to selectively hit the market for the occasional player. Hope we get back there in the next couple of years.

The juniors are as strong as they've been for years. Hopefully they can get well coached and developed through the grades so we see some of them in FG in the next few seasons.

Congrats to everyone that made the rep teams..
