It's not like he hasn't played NRL in a long time. This is his first season in the Super League.

500 seems a little steep, but it is a reflection of the market. Could be a good signing. Probably indicates no Tino or Haas for next year though

JWH will be retiring at the end of 2024 and will be 35.

Taukeiaho is still 31.
JWH always plays with pride in performance. I couldn't see him signing a contract if he couldn't live up to it. Taukeiaho won a comp being called the best prop around, then started playing at half-pace for the next couple of years. Could definitely play in his day but haven't seen it for a long while. Hopefully Super league has freshened him up for a revival but I'm not too hopeful.

Yeah. Just means Gus couldn’t make anything work and decided to get someone in to lead and teach on the field. That’s good enough for me.

If he’s still got it, he’s a gun, and the fact that he’s been fielding NRL offers tells me that he still has something to offer.
