IMO i believe what our attack is lacking is slight variety. Watching Cronk / keary last night they ran the same play several times early with a few slight differences. Keary wrapping around taking the pass from Cronk, then they tried 4 different options at the back of that.
point being our defence (although it mainly handled it) would have been thinking which version of theplay was coming.
Teams seem to rush up on us and have been for 2-3 years due to our lack of attacking kicking. last night was no different, why dont we try some early kicks to put their outside defence in 2 minds on rushing up? this will give our backs more space and time. Foran and JMK need to take leaf out of the roosters and work on the same side more.
Few minor tweaks and and will click

Too many underperforming players and certain players in the twilight of their careers. Cronk wouldn't have helped us tonight.

We're a bottom 4 side. There is nothing to click. If our opponents defend poorly and we get lucky we will win.

The big difference is speed. Keary can get outside his man and create something. We have no speed in the centre 3rd of the field. We try to beat teams with our pass. So becomes sideways attack. Time to bring in Lewis and find a back rower who has some footwork. Mariner and mbye are the only 2 who threaten.

The key to last nights loss was, in my opinion, summed up by the comment "we had a game plan and stuck to it". Hello, its all very well to stick to the game plan but you need to be able to vary the plan if it ain't working. Time and again last night when only a few metres out the forwards just kept one out trying to burst through the Easts defence to score. And they didn't stay low but ran upright making it easier for the defenders to hold the attacker up. The dogs need to stand deeper and all players need to be moving forward to spread the defensive line to mark up. With the one out plays and the rest standing just looking, its allows the defence to bunch up on the player with the ball. Come on guys this is a team sport and the whole team has to look like they are going to get the ball on every play.

It's not rocket science, what is missing is another half, attacking centres and wingers.

We can see it Gazza why can't the players and coaching staff I always thought YOU NEVER CHANGED A WINNING GAME BUT ALWAYS CHANGED A LOSING ONE thurs night game was a prime example only monkeys do the same thing over and over even though its plain to see it's not working
