News Ryan Papenhuyzen linked with move to Sydney club (Bulldogs)

We looked great at different stages of last season but against the best sides we lacked two things. One was a bit of grunt in the middle and the other was a genuine game breaker with some X factor.

Ryan Papenhuyzen solves one of those problems straight away and if I was an opposition side I’d certainly rather he wasn’t in the team.

Another undervalued quality he has is leadership and talk at the back organising the defensive line.

Even the haters have got to admit this backline sounds good:

1. Papenhuyzen
2. Tracey
3. Xerri
4. Chricton
5. Kiraz

Yea nah .

not worth the risk . He is made out of tooth pick

Assume the Storm come to the party , i don't see him leaving, would take the kid happily.
Get him on the cheap I think we have enough big boys atm remember we got DSF good system roosters tuponia he can play front row sst can fill in 20
Mins or so and remember he was the one taking the conversions he can kick and hughes and king. I think having a back up full back would be good paps of fallagoo is a fast boy shows good skill got a good step not afraid Tracey can play anywhere which is good. Then Montoya and Bronson not to mention I think GUS will sign one more big name it will be a massive team next year. Hopefully sexton stays and he doesn’t ask for 7 to 800k cause his mate got 1 million a year Sam walker and he is injured for a while.

And Kurt Mann the destroyer I think in my opinion we have plenty of options and back up utilities players who have plenty of experience

Fox money covers half, Montoya and Wilson as wing back ups if attainable could be a master stroke. Am a fan of Tracey as much as any fan, but his injury track record up until this year was undesirable.

Agree.

It's a big NO for mine!

Fa'alogo way better potential
I agree Fa’alogo would be a better option shows a lot of talent and can only get better fast got a good step can catch and he runs all over the big boys with his step not afraid at all I think he is a young great aspect we let papalli go so why not go for a similar player but better…

If I was a player shopping around I'd be a trifle annoyed if my current club (owner) said their offer is lower because of my TPAs and better Rep opportunities.
He'd be a good signing. Is only 26, but loads of experience.
That comes across is not really caring of he stays or goes.
Dogs are on the up and up. And in Sydney. He'll be more than visible to selectors and Gus will sort out his TPAs.

parra will go teal hard for him...we would need to offer him at least 1m if not more

I don’t think Pappy is the risk people think he is. All of his injuries are unrelated. It’s not like Turbo where he’s doing hammy after hammy.
He’s just been unlucky. He’s just as likely to get injured again, as he is to play the rest of his career without another serious injury.
he loves the bulldogs and I’d love to have him.

As good as he is, he's very injury prone.

I feel like that's just life in the modern game. Many big names seem to be prone to injury, and often. It's almost a risk you just have to take. Look at Nathan Cleary etc.

For some reason Nathan Cleary hasn't missed a finals game and has owned the finals stage.

I really like Tracey, but he is not a winger. He is reliable but I'd rather have a meter eater, or a player with potential to break play.
