Rupert Murdoch is, without doubt, the most pernicious and wilfully irresponsible media magnate in history!
I worked in media and advertising for the best part of 20+ years (now happily retired) and I had some direct dealings with Murdoch and even met him socially on a couple of occasions.
I always felt he had absolutely no moral compass and with him, it is always about "profit" and not reporting the truth or being a good corporate citizen or simply championing what is basically right, it is always about the $$$ with him and nothing else!
I have always believed he would happily put his business at the disposal of any despot or tyrant (e.g. he would have no problems working with Hitler to "spin" the Holocaust) and that if the earth is ever invaded by aliens, Murdoch would even betray us all just for a slice of the action...

Rupert is a huge fan of Rupert and nobody else. His networks largely ignored Trump until the 2016 election. After Trump won, Fox got behind him for a couple of years. My guess is that Rupert wanted something - an ambassadorship, perhaps - and didn't get it.

Towards the end of Trump's term, Fox appointed speaker of the house and known Trump hater, Paul Ryan, to a key job, and Fox gradually became more and more anti-Trump from that point on.

Until the start of this year. They have spent all this year praising Trump as the hero that will save America. But that makes sense because they're approaching an election and Trump is the Republican favourite. It's the same with CNN. regardless if they like Biden or not, they have to praise him because Biden is the Democrat leader.

Except this isn’t true. Trump has blacklisted Fox. That’s why he had the Tucker interview whilst the repub debates were on. So as to not give fox money.
Trump was a fox friend probably up until ‘insurrection’ times.
I googled Lachlan Murdoch and trump and even MSM says Lachie hates Trump.
But it’s a good tactic because if fox wants their right wing base still, they need to do something. Or they go left wing and face the other blatant left networks
