A wild man who lived a very full life.
I was introduced to him at the 1994 major semi at the SFS and we had some beers in the Members Bar.
The stories he told were not for the faint hearted :-).
The Dogs went on the pip the Raiders that day for a spot in the GF so we were feeling no pain by days end. We don’t need to talk about what happened two weeks later when the male model knocked on at kickoff :worried:.
RIP Chook. Wizard on the field and good bloke off it - they don’t make ‘em like they used to.

Johnny went to school with my dad.

I had the pleasure of having a night on the drink with him and his misses several years ago.

We talked footy all night.

Absolute CHAMPION on and off the field.

RIP Johnny.

Met him when I was ten at a Dragons game at Belmore, knew then he was a God.
Condolences to the Dragons and people that knew him.

That's true - however we redeemed ourselves 12 months later against Canberra in Manly in consecutive weeks.

R.I.P. Chook. He's actually a Revesby boy meaning he grew up in the district.

And his brother, Ron, played 168 games, including 128 in first grade, for the Dogs.
He captained first grade in 27 games and was also a goalkicker.
