I know we only lost by 20 but being happy with that is wrong on so many levels, certain players have never improved and continually make mistakes and don't give 100%, how is it other teams improve out of sight with new recruits but our team stays practically the same.

I’m pretty objective Mutt. Don’t let emotion cloud my judgement. I personally think (stats aside) that schoupp is a better centre then Jake at the moment. He has the jump on Jake being a specialist centre and has more aggression and strength which are key ingredients in the game.
Schoupp is more aggressive and powerful like you mentioned but really doesn't offer anything else. Our backs just have no space, rarely ever are they running at a flat footed, short or retreating defensive line like a lot of other teams. The one actual chance Jake did get he nailed it and even then it was far from a simple catch and pass and probably something the likes of Schoupp and Naden wouldn't have nailed. He also threatened to get on the outside of Crichton with limited chances. He obviously needs to do more coming out from our end and that's something the whole backline needs to improve on but i'm absolutely certain Jake offer miles more as a runner than Schoupp and will deliver when he actually get some space to work with.

Burns made really bad decisions in defense and has fuck all games under his belt while Schoupp was under development and building.
Naden wasn't supporting in attack properly and was out of position in defense, mark your opposite like soccer.
Vaughn is SOO quality and will stay a doggy.
Jackson was SOO quality and was retained because of it.
Averillo can get the ball to Addo Carr fast.
One week to lift intensity, Australia does not revolve around a smart ass witch hunt.

It’s been a problem since JMoz left
Just effort and desire. Remember countless times J-Moz getting beat on the outside, but turning and sprinting to reel them in. Most notably Shaun Johnson in 2014.

Yep, I remember that one in NZ.
Effort and desire. Our team think all they have to do is do what they do at training but forget all the 1% effort plays when it comes to game day.
Honestly Kempsey Dog, If I was getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play NRL, those 80 mins on the field on game day would be like my life depended on it.

I just read this

If you were hanging around to the end of the Bulldogs’ press conference on Sunday night after their 32-12 defeat to Penrith Panthers, you’d have heard this exchange.

Me: “Trent, I was just looking it up there: Kyle touched the ball 21 times in that match. Wakeham averaged 29 and Averillo 33.

“The first time you got into good ball – I think it was off the 40/20 – Kyle stationed himself out on the right and then three times the ball went that way and then came back inside with a forward. It’s something that I’ve noticed happens quite a lot. Do you think potentially you struggle to get your halfbacks involved in good ball?

It was a fair question, probably not worded correctly at the time but you could understand what he meant. It's been an issue we've seen for years and wasn't an attack on Kyle or any other player. Baz and Jackson laughing it off and Baz's "no" probably says all we need to know about this, problem exists from the head down.
