Fringe forwards are all that are on the market. The big units are locked up in long term contracts, and no side is going to let them go to another club.

We just have to identify the promising young ones, and bring them up through our ranks - that is what we are doing.

Despite the fact that we are in our usual position - last on the table with the worst for and against, I still see something in this team that leads me to think we will come good.

We have our usual start to the season where we seem to come up against top eight sides that are fresh and ready for another big year. Not for us, the Tigers in round one, or some other team where we could get our plays working.

It's always the biggest well drilled sides at the start of every season. They knock us around, and leave the side depleted and disordered.

The NRL tell us that the draw is random, yet we always get the same tough draw every year, while the top sides hone their skills against bottom eight teams.

Identify promising forwards like Morrin? Meanwhile the berala bears junior, haumole, is playing for manly. Sorry, somethings wrong with Canterbury's recruiting and junior talent recognition. I've got zero confidence in management's ability to assemble a dominant pack of forwards. It's almost like the softer and smaller you are, the more likely it is for you to make the doggies forward pack. Mranwhil

100%,im sure the NRL want to abolish one or more of the sydney based teams and we are at the top of the list. Ever since the Coffs debacle these shit kickers have been trying to bring us down and piss us off out of the competition, and in order to expand the comp they will need to thin out the Sydney based teams a bit.

How about this then. Round 2 last year we towelled up the Storm at AAMI so at that stage - won a game. How about after 2 games last season (Eagles and Storm), we'd scored 6 tries.

We had great D under Pay. But couldn't score shit. So whats different?

Created enough problems? We scored when they were down to 12 and u can argue the kicks no try but otherwise we never crossed or looked like crossing the line. Despite 5 full sets worth of tackles in the opp 20. Bunnies had roughly the same # of tackles in the 20 against a much better D in the bronks. And scored 3 tries. Go figure.

And known for their D? Last year the sharts were the 7th best defence. Every team above them in the table had better D plus add in the Rorters. So maybe slightly above average D is close to the mark.

Is what it is. I'm just not gunna polish a turd.

Atkins is ref for Dolphins at home. I suspect although Dragons will be the better team, Atkins will get Phins over the line.
