What benefit has some random astronaut flying to the moon (if he even did visit the moon and it wasn't just some hoax involving a man jumping up and down in the desert to prove some Russians wrong) provided to your life?

Whilst you're at it, why not make an RIP thread for a child that's dying right now in Africa or Syria? These kids are getting blown to bits whilst this man probably died warm in his bed and has millions thinking about this random nobody right now.
