I am Almost Certain it's the hissy fit. He mentioned in one interview he was waiting for an opportunity to play centre. He obviously pestered Pay with a 'why not?' When it's reported there is a void at centre for Canterbury. Hard for pay to say no.

Move him to wing. Just stop trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Montoya is shit but how can you blame him for throwing that pass for the intercept. He's the only centre to throw a pass all season.
