That moment when you realise the clowns were right all along…

The only reason they sacked Josh is because they had a valid reason and believed his salary was spent better elsewhere. Dog eat dog.. excuse the pun.
Rumours about Fox being on the outer been around for just over 12 months. Fox unfortunately for him handed himself on a easy platter for Gus to do the execution.

Our game has changed to something that doesn’t really benefit fox’s playstyle. Who else will we have to rush in on defence and barely make any metres on returns
Who else will we have to run the length without being run down by a second rower or prop when we spread the ball?

Feeling pretty conflicted about it. On one hand, I think the board had no choice, but on the other hand, I have so many good memories of being at games with my family and cheering as he streaked away down the sideline.

I don't know if we'll ever know the truth and sadly, that just makes it worse. Either he's lied so much he can't stop, or there's something else going on and it won't become public.

I'll miss him and I'll never forget how he reached out to my boy when he was hurt and insisted he listen to his doctors. It made such a difference for him to hear that from one of his heroes

And I suppose you know that it hasn't
All clubs have had and have players that have mental problems, addiction to gambling, drugs, alcohol, depression, suicidal tendencies, etc that are not made public and kept in house. Who knows what is the success rate in assisting these players.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink
Fox isn’t the first guy the club ushered unceremoniously out the door. Forgive me if I’m not brimming with confidence in our processes.

Honestly I looked at Crittas reaction to being questioned about JAC in the press conference after his test results came back positive and think if that was representative of the playing group, the club might've asked for a silent vote or something from the players to see if they wanted him around. I think he let the playing group down as much as the fans.
Lmao where do you guys pull this scenarios from

I feel sorry for him but unfortunately he had to go.

I'm surprised at how many wanted him to stay. You can't get two positive tests & not pony up to your mistake & lie in the process.

Can we just get our November 1 announcement now? Move on from this.

So now its GUS fault you are just making yourself out to be a bigger clown give it a rest the whole country knows he has stuffed up so instead of blaming everyone else cop it sweet and move on. You were probably the ringleader when we were going to name a new captain calling for FOX to be captain at least he proved me right on that not a team man let alone captain to much of a mug lair.
He may have stuffed up. Doesn’t mean the punishment fits the crime.

Fox has proven he’s a good team guy and great clubman throughout his time here. Sad to see you all digging the boot in during a difficult time for him.

Gus has a very rigid, unforgiving and uncompromising style when it comes to player management. Cleary has hinted as much.

If you want to go around calling people who don’t agree with his style clowns, go right ahead, I guess. You’re just the latest in a long line.

How did Gus made himself look like an idiot?
He actually got fox’s side of the story before it made the media and tried to protect fox, not Gus’s fault fox lied to him.
Fuck you can Troll and tell half the story to suit your agenda.
Yeah, and how well did that work out for him? Or for Gus.

Never go public until you’re sure you have the right info. It’s a basic rule which all other admins seem to have no problem abiding by.

Oh our sacred culture! For we are saving lives here in Belmore. Give me a break. They play a game for boofheads.
Hey man !!! He left our troops in the trenches, with wet socks on !! He deserted the army !! On the most important day of our history On the eve of a battle that is comparable to Anzac Day !!! He should be court marshalled , the players had a silent Meeting they’ve disowned him !!!!!

The fat fuck armchair coaches got some cap money to play with now wohoooo

Most addicts are when they’re immune to the substance. Problem is, when its gets too far that it disrupts the rest of the teams morale and playing in harmony. It maybe a stimulant but there’s always a downside to having too much of anything that works too well
Again, I think that’s speculative, at best. Starting to disrupt team morale? Gus was reportedly negotiating a new contract with him before this all went down. Would he really be doing that with a player the club believed had a serious drug problem?

Fox made Gus look silly. I’m totally convinced this is the main reason behind his dumping.

The boys loved the guy. They may have been pissed off at him over what happened, but I reckon they could have moved on. Not buying that his position in the team was
untenable.
