How many pages is this thread going to hit before this shit ends
Canterbury player + drugs or any criminal offence = months of speculation and accusations. It’s a joke, remember the Holmes picture and take a pick of drug offence relating to NRL players none drag on how this has.

In all this we have forgotten how much importance our sponsors play in all of this.
Wouldn't look good next season when we run onto the field with a blank, no sponsors jumper.
The sponsors sign a contract and donate big money over a period of years and there could be a termination clause
if the club, in their opinion did not handle situations like this properly and damage their brand.
Good point.
Maybe Coke will line up for us??

Someone with the time play detective and watch the Tik tok video uploaded today. Off the locker room at Belmore. Looks like some name plagues already taken down. Is Fox one?

The media has pushed the narrative that he'll get the sack yet Munster, Smith Trindall all did coke but there was no such narrative of their respective clubs sacking them. Why the fuck should we weaken our team just to appease these bitches. There's more upside to keeping him than sacking him. Yes he fucked but he's no Arana Taumata or Todd Carney.

Did any test positive.

Buzz saying the club won’t sack Josh because they won’t get anything out of it. Keep his contract and if someone wants him we can work for a swap and get something back

With the three strike policy of a “free shot” where no details are revealed after a first positive test and a fine and suspension for a second we don’t hear of many positive tests. Third one is a sacking. I think the Brent Naden one of 2020 was one of the few we knew about after the GF. Valentine Holmes and Brandon Trindall. The storm blokes the video did them in and Mann and Pongs were tested by their club with no results made public. The JAC one was leaked by who knows?

That is actually a valid point.
If we sack a player do we still need to pay him out?

Us fans deserve to know what the hell is happening with JAC, what is he doing, what were the next steps post the meeting with the NRL integrity meeting.

Despite the two positive tests and the media reports, I want to hear Josh's side of the story, including his explanation, before forming my own opinion.
What? and tell more lies and change his story like has done with Gus and the club.

I think what he may have meant is that we lose a player another club picks up without us getting anything in return. No swap

You would not think so if all contracts there would be a clause covering these issues of
serious indescretions involving drugs and whatnot bringing the club into disrepute.
Depends on what agreement the club and JAC will come to.

Not sure which way this one will go, but I feel if the club was going to sack him they would have done so by now.
The Club could be crossing the T's and dotting the I's making sure there will be no repercussions on their decision.

If we sack him, chances are his payout will be included in our cap.

HOWEVER if he returns positive HFT indicators, possibly the NRL would stand him down, thus clearing the path for the Dogs to terminate his contract trouble free.

No if the spear him it will be for breaching the code of conduct in his contract. No payout.

Agreed. Something like that, as long as correct procedure and protocol is followed while pursuing an avenue for dismissal, I don’t think anything would be owed to JAC
