Fox Sports Reagan Campbell-Gillard

Looks like we're not signing RCG or anyone. We'll be lucky if we get SST by the look of it LOL. King and Hughes need decent back up. We need an experienced BIG BODY prop who can start and stay on the field (unlike SST). Anyone can see that but no, it seems we prefer to just "hope" and spend the dollars on more average outside backs to play reserve grade. Then next year Gus will say there were no experienced props available. I like what Gus has done for the club don't get me wrong and I was one of the first who wanted him back here but he doesn't get all decisions right. SST will be lucky to get through just one of our preseason days. Amone isn't a sure thing either. Remember Thompson was a star in ESL too. RCG would provide what we need in the engine room NOW

Or just wait until the off-season progresses before being all doom and gloom.

Important to remember that Luke Thompson is not the standard bearer for all signings out of the ESL either. His time with us was ruined by an awful run of injuries but there have been a fair number of successful forwards come out of the ESL over the years and their success rate is not too bad at all. James Graham, Sam Burgess and his brothers, Adrian Morley, Elliott Whitehead, Gareth Ellis all gave great value to their respective clubs.

I'm not saying that Amone will replicate their deeds but I'm not sure why we would assume he'll go down the Thompson path either.

Neil Breen reporting that the Titans have approached RCG…

Shall I add him to the long list of established props to sign elsewhere?

How the fuck could they afford him with forwards like Fifita, Fotuiaka and Tino on the books all on massive money

If we had a large sum of money put aside for Stefano and he decided (like the rest of them) signed elsewhere, then where has that $$$$ been allocated too?

His mgr has probably reached out to every club to have a conversation. Doesn't mean they necessarily sign him particularly as they're already stacked with expensive forwards.

The titans are targeting hunt RCG I do believe he will end up at BELMORE GUS says he is happy with Tom Amone and tupionia and SST then there is king and Hughes if he gets rid of JAC why not buy RCG and let Wilson shine they obviously got the money but GUS is always the one to not say a word then come out with signings.

he has already got rid of 3 players expect a prop to come RCG would be great.

and Wilson and kiraz on either end. This JAC saga is slowly going away. The dragons will take him straight away anyways.

Where has he said he’s happy with SST ?

Patience is a virtue that's increasingly rare on here lately. It's been a few years since we released signing news before it was official. We haven't had a lot of leaks either.

We'll know who we've signed when the club is good and ready to tell us. The chicken littles here will keep screaming that the sky is falling. Nothing we can do about the club having a poker face and nothing we can do about the chicken littles panicking because they haven't heard anything yet either.

The last time we had a management group start panicking for their jobs because the kennels chicken littles were getting loud, they paid through the nose for Aaron Woods and Keiran Foran. We lost better players because of it IMO. That board was gone regardless and it's taken us a lot of years to get the ship back on course.

So I'm happy for the club to go about their business and let us worry about things or not worry as is our preference. Much rather that than a reactive board that'll screw our cap because a few loud fans are complaining.

Its comments like that that are ridiculous!! what forward talent?? WE NEED 2 X ELITE MIDDLES.. Gus blocked me on twitter 3 years ago after i said to him "Kyle Flanno is not an NRL halfback" and "The Dogs should sign the reserve grade half from the Sharks Trindall".. always thinks he knows everything..

It's only September and people think we are done with recruitment. I reckon we are far from done with recruitment for next year.

Yeah Gus blocked me too. I remember when there were multiple props available he said on Twitter he wanted to see how our blokes performed first which included Thompson at the time. Thompson had already proved ineffective and injury prone. I would have assumed that Gus or anyone with a footy brain would have known we definitely weren't re-signing him so we would make a plan to replace him but it never happened and then the Dophins signed about 4 decent first grade props, we missed out and Gus said no-one was available LOL.

This year in the trial against the Sharks and in one of our first NRL games Tukupa-Ke Hau Tapuha really proved hard to handle for our forwards. He got over the line twice but couldn't ground the ball. You'd think anyone watching those 2 games would have asked if this Sharks player (had previously debuted for the Roosters) was available which he was and he only re-signed a development contract extention about 2-3 week after that second game. We waited until after he had re-signed to make an enquiry with his manager and I know that for a fact and that wasn't even Gus involved, that was one of our other recruitment managers.

Gus makes mistakes like anyone else.

100%.. Thinks he knows all Gus.. We should have already signed big Tuku.. its not brain surgery

I know right. We've always recruited people at the 11th hour before season kick off. Hec Curran and Tracey are good examples.
Just leave the risk no one pops up.
