In the fair dinkum department, not many of us agreed with last years signings going into 2024 that included Crichton, Mann, Tracey, Xerri, Salmon, Hutch and Turpin yet they got us into the finals.

We already have two good signings, I really like Sitili, he gives everything in each game and has some size along with good leg speed. Amone will surprise a few so in my eyes, a good start. We probably pick up 2 more quality players and maybe the odd one or two depth signings - the reality is, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel here, we have a very good footy team whose well coached with a first class front office - good times ahead!!

I'm not sure exactly what criteria the staff have got in making recruitment choices at the moment. But I'm pretty sure a lot of it revolves around attitude.

There's plenty of incredibly good players in this game that could be better if they didn't rest on their laurels. And I watched our team this year and couldn't identify a player that seemed to slack off at any point. Our players genuinely looked dirty at themselves if they made an error. They don't dwell on it now, but they do seem briefly pissed off with themselves before doubling down on their effort.

So I suspect that if they're interviewing players about joining the club they'll look for red flags that display the wrong attitude. Because it's far easier to turn a hardworking group lazy through a few bad attitudes than to switch a lazy group to being hard workers.

For sure, but lodge would be cheap and on a 1 year deal.
