yh obviously not a pele type forward...

we just need 1 big forward like a tino/afb/topine type player
Those props mentioned and other top shelfers who go onto the field and give 100% in attack and defence would be pretty
pissed off if their blood, sweat and tears shed are to no avail and see no future in the club they are at.
Topine comes to mind as that player. Canberra are always the club touted at the start of a season for big things but fail, Add him to our present forward roster along with Stili T, no other pack would come close to intimidate us.

I think 1 max though Chem. then you have to consider that the prop also has to have legs. No use getting a Hunt or similar and for them to gas out after 15 mins and leave holes all through our line because they can’t tackle. Remember Hughes and King aren’t small forwards. They’re both over 110kg, King maybe slightly under, then you have Kikau and Preston. The pack isn’t that small. Amone will bring impact off the bench along with maybe Todd and Underhill.
I think we’re doing the right thing and being patient till the right pig becomes available and fits in with our ethos.
remember Seve is 6’3 and 126kg and DSF is 116kg and 6’2. There’s blokes there that fit the mould you’re talking about it’s whether or not they can get to “that level” over the pre season. DSF had no pre season so who knows what he’s able to produce under CC with more of a motor and more comfortable in himself after his injury. Time will tell
King and Hughes are big but they haven't really shown an ability to punch through the line. Hughes is still in his first proper season of first grade so maybe that might change.

As for the others, they haven't proven anything at the moment, so it's a wait and see

We need a JFH/leota/JWH type forward, wouldn't go for AFB (goes missing in defence)

we need at least 1 big prop if we're going to be a consistent top 4 team going forward
Maybe even 2. We are getting rolled every week
Next year will be much worse as teams will figure out more ways to make us crack. How many teams this year have dropped starting forwards back to the bench before playing us

Brother we lost last week. How are we getting rolled every week.
In that there is other factors too, we’ve travelled all around Australia and overseas and made stupid errors that make it even harder to defend repeatedly.
last week yes they’re forwards dominated and we lost, fair play to them but how we’ve been rolled every week I fail to see. We’ve been lorded in how effective and transformative our forwards have been and their fitness.

We have Amone coming next year.

Not sure how he'll go, but the club must know something.
