Putting up this thread early as there will no doubt be plenty of discussion

Equation as it stands

If Dogs WIN = Week 1 finals @ home vs Knights/Dolphins/Dragons

If Dogs LOSE and Manly LOSE = Manly @ home

If Dogs LOSE and Manly WIN = Manly @ Brookvale

team lists TBC

Will be a big effort without burton and Xerri our whole left edge will be new with no combinations. So I think it’s important to let Clark debut so we can keep our right side of Critta and Kiraz. We need one side that can be dangerous with established combos

we piss on all options at full strength, just a matter of being full strength & pray for no injuries against the Cowboys.

I'd try this, but we all know fish boy will be first picked.

I would like to see Sua get a game. Terrific talent and will be a good experience for him moving forward. Skelton looks off and he's leaving so get rid of him
My boy will make us all forget about Fox.

He has a very high ceiling.

I have a bad feeling he'll stick with Skelton. Hope I'm wrong.

I think CC will go Hutch at 6, Fish 13, and Hayward at 14. Hayward is more versatile and can come on when the Cows forwards get tired. Remember his try/ no try in Townsville

There are more variables to the equation:
1 - If Dogs smash Cows (say 35+) and Manly smash Sharks (say 34+) then Dogs will get 4th position if they can make up for 68 points FA diff.
2 - If Manly win by more than 1 point and Dogs and Cows have a draw then Manly get 5th and Dogs play Cows at home in week 1 finals
3 - If Manly win by 1 point and Dogs and Cows have a draw then Dogs and Manly finish on equal 5th with same FA diff. Whatever NRL rules decides who gets 5th spot.
4 - Brisbane and Canberra could still finish 8th if all the results in the last round go their way.

Id look for a rest game next week given our power in the backs is lacking.
Kiraz looks tired .
Focus on our middles and hope the kick chase is strong.

Could work out to be a cracker week 1 if we play Manly again

Manly are not going to beat sharks by 34+ without Turbo

So either way we stay in Sydney... regardless of a win or loss.

Nothing to be gained from the dead rubber that is the Cowboys game.
