Bankers:
3 - Burton. He is playing much better at 7 than he did at 6 because his hands are on the ball way more and he is liking the control that gives him. He is still running the ball on occasion though which is good because he’s good at it and it makes him more dangerous. And his kicking game was off the charts good tonight.
2 - Mahoney. Great first half, we haven’t had a good kicking hooker since Ennis and Mahoney’s kicks are way more diamonds than Ennis’s rocks were.
1 - Preston. Runs perfect lines and bends the line a lot.
Honourable mentions to Kiraz for a big effort despite not being 100%, and Reynolds for keeping us in it in the first half.
Anchors:
-3 - Casey. Oh boy, when your ratio of shockers to good games is as bad as his, it’s time to think about a career change. I see the comments that he would be better at centre but shifting one position infield could surely not make that much of a difference.
-2 - Alamoti. Desperately needs JAC back to give him an outside option and to get in his ear and pump up his confidence. Looks nothing like he did in the first few rounds.
-1 - Oloapu. Poor decision making can be excused when you’re 18 and in your second game but he shat the bed twice with terrible kick options and gave Burton absolutely no support in attack. Will be better for the experience hopefully.
