proposed rule change for 2025 season

What dumb fuck coach suggested that? :tearsofjoy:

I'm pretty sure one of the select coaches in the politburo is Trent Robinson who had a number of key players go for head injury assessment.

Let’s add more things to the list of rules they don’t enforce properly and fairly.

Holy sheet!
Someone tell Billy Kikau he will surrender posession everytime he fails to make an attempt to play the ball with his foot!

.... which is every single tackle.....

So in the last ten or so minutes of a tight game, you could conceivably go head-hunting a key opposition player and get away with it.
Melbourn will love this!

The only rule changes for 2025 should be to completely reverse any fucked rule changes V'landys and his cronies have made since he took over the National Rugba League

The restart rubbish is insane, no penalty for failing to kick it 10 meters ??? .... the other rule i hate is the seven tackle restart for losing the ball over the line. Drop it an inch from the line and it is a scrum. To be fair in came in before V'landys took over.

Spot on mate. All of those changes and the six again have completely changed the game for the worse. If we reversed all of those new rules, the game would be so much better to watch.

Great, more rules open to interpretation.

Players having to wait for the ref to say go to move up in defence... can't see any way this could influence a game, yeah right. And good luck hearing the call with a vocal crowd.

And while I appreciate the seemingly sane changes to the obstruction rule, it goes down the same path as the disruptor rule, open to inconsistent rulings.

As for the play the ball rule... same thing comes out every year... yet more inconsistency in the rulings.

The ref's struggle as it is and they are adding more rules open to interpretation/bias.

The other issue I have with all this is why make the announcement a couple of weeks before the season? Surely clubs should be given an off-season to work with any rule changes.

Look at games from the 70s and 80s and imagine how they'd be refereed today.

I agree it adds more "discretion" to existing rules, but i dont think you need an off season to train for them.

Its not hard to practice with you trainer calling "go" before you move up in a defensive line.

The obstruction rule tweak is an improvement and should throw out the ridiculous penalties when defenders win Oscars.

I like the PTB rule as it was getting stupid watching guys just play tunnel ball.

Thats probably the one Kikau needs a whole off-season to train for. He's been doing it for years and no doubt will get caught doing it under fatigue....
