Possible Addo-carr, Ben Hunt swap

So lets guess this straight - somehow we have a thread that says:

- we're gunna swap a $550k winger for a $1M+ HB (do we include the dodgy $250k he got from the discount of buying a house of a Dragons sponsor, who knows)
- who is 35 next year
- who is a perenial underachiever
- who the only time he's looked worth a million at club level was in 2018, when Widdop basically ran the show
- who has a history of throwing his team and his club under the bus
- who is somehow going to teach Burpo how to play in the halves (when apparently we cannot teach Burpo the world is round)

Year 4 of the 5 year plan. Why exactly is it a good idea to bring in an overrated and overpaid half to partner our overrated and overpaid half? How about we see where we are at after 5 years before we go stupid on short term rentals of basically a 3rd wheel.

Offseason crazytown at its finest.

yeah you’d see he was the one making those errors

His game vs Parra was absolutely diabolical
He'll also have a reduced responsibility at us. At the dragons everything goes through him, whereas here, he'd still have a lot of involvement but won't be the "be all and end all" that the team needs

What everyone on TK thinks is totally irrelevant.
Gus has previously shown interest in Hunt and that's what matters !!!
But what does Clueless Gus know ?

Fox to Saints, Hunt to Newy, Thompson to Dogs. Make it happen.
Would genuinely be a good move for everyone. Knights probably need to take some playmaking pressure of Ponga, and will probably lose Thompson in 2025 anyway.

The reality is that if Sexton had of been in our side from round 1 this year we probably make the top 4. There were a heap of games this year at the start of the season where we dominated teams but through a lack of playmaking were unable to ice these games. The first Raiders, Rabbits and Melbourne games are 3 that spring to mind. Sure Hunt is a good get, but were do we play him. 14 position would have been good at the start of the year , but Hayward really stepped up and owned that role this year and deserves to keep it . He provides excellent coverage for 6,7 and 9 and can just play decent minutes in the middle of the park .

With Thompson, Saifiti, Croker and Hetherington as their top 4 middles they can't afford to lose Thompson next year

I can’t see even the Camden Rams being silly enough to take Hutchinson let alone Peptide Sr

Hunt gets picked at reps because he makes a very good #2 or #3. No pressure - just does his thing. Yet, when he's the #1 at the Drags, he's rubbish 2 out of 3 weeks.

False equivalencies. More over priced than Burpo (and thats saying something), not capable of being the #1 we want and is nowhere near our timeline. Seems pretty silly to even think about it to me.

He finished the season 1st in the league for try assists with 30 in a shit team.. he also kicked for the most meters. You dont know what you're talking about.

We wouldn't need Sexton anymore so if they don't want JAC (reportedly going to be in discussions with him) he'd be a good trade option. Ideally you keep Sexton for 1 more year as back-up but we'd still be better off than we were this year.

He carried Dragon and was a big part in Lomax having a breakout season.

i think Hunt would make a good 14 for us TBH. Depends on the cashola.
