Phil Gould is back at Belmore. In a stunning development, the Canterbury premiership coach has joined the club as its new head of football.
The shock decision comes after Gould’s most recent role with the Warriors had been impacted by Covid-19.

Gould made his mark as a player and coach at Canterbury — winning a premiership in his first year as coach.

He will provide some much-needed support for coach Trent Barrett.

The Bulldogs have been without a head of football since dumping club legend Steve Price last year.

I just switched on to footy and thought it was TPJ they were saying was our big signing.

Signing Gus tells me our board is free of ego's thinking they can take care of the club themselves. Instead they are looking at Gus to take us forward with them and are all on the same page. We haven't seen this for the past 6 or so years.

Yeah, they haven’t confirmed it’s Gus they are talking about, but considering the timing of the weed’s tweet, it seems likely.
