King is NRL standard, might not make every other clubs starting side but would be in the 17 in a well managed roster. If the club loses King, serious questions will need to be asked of management regarding the recruitment and nurturing of middle forwards. Knight and Sutton are older players signed from other clubs who wouldn't play them regularly in the NRL any more. Hughes and Patolo have had stunted development becuase of injuries. Thompson and TPJ were horrible signings. Salmon has been named at lock for the first trial, another older forward who struggled to play NRL at his previous club, and was used mainly as an edge back rower in NSW Cup. Edwards and Morrin can't get a top 30 deal, I'm not sure that Hopoi is up to it, Todd and Marshall look several years away from regular NRL if ever.

King will command interest on the market and we will probably have to pay above market value as playing prop for our club is more demanding on the body than playing a support role at clubs with more established props.

Roosters are losing JWH and they like the four prop rotation and one in reserve.
Dolphins are losing Bromwich, Nicholls and Wallace they need to find at least one.
Storm still haven't replaced the loss of the Bromwich's, Kaufusi and Smith. Welch is pretty much at the end.

King will attract interest. He won't be seen as a starting player. He will fit into somewhere.

Who doesn’t rate him? Suggesting someone isn’t origin level, isn’t saying he’s not rated. Origin is the elite of our game. I don’t think our fan base is dumb or hated.
