Does she hate dogs now? My old dog, a terrier, got stung by a bee as a pup, and went ballistic whenever a bee came near after that. Then in older age he got attacked by a staffy, and after that couldn't abide other dogs.

She still loves dogs but is wary of staffy/pitbull types still. Her best friend in the park is a Great Dane that is taller that a council bin. She isn’t even the size of its head.
