Perham looks like he just met the rest of the team for the first time on the bus on the way to the game.

He has become the stifler.

There are times where you need to put in the hard yards and then there are times where you gotta be the runner and hit holes for the playmakers.

Hopefully coaches grab his ear.

We all know Perham is just minding the FB position for Crichton .. He’s the least of our problems.

For instance something needs to be done about these penalties, we’re just continually piggy backing the opposition down field.

Against the bigger sides that’s just making their job easy and fatiguing us.

Most penalised club in the comp equals team giving our opposition the most piggy backs …

It needs to be urgently addressed !
We cant atm thats the problem... We are getting dominated in the ruck which gets guys doing desperate things to slow down the ruck. We just will not be able to win games comfortably until we have our full compliment as per Raiders today.

Scored a try, ran for 150 metres, broke 4 tackles. If we somehow scored at the end and won, this post doesn’t exist and you’d be applauding him. Pull yourself together you fake plastic fan. Go after Declan Casey who looked like he was match fixing (he didn’t, just played so so so bad)
Glad you can read a stat sheet. OP is right. The eye test can see his metres were garbage tolman-esque metres. He touches the ball too much and stifles attack.

One way i look at this as a good thing is a talent like Crichton will probably touch this much of the ball next year which will lead to more creative chances

Guy touches the ball way too much without being a threat. We get a bit of momentum moving forward and he just kills the play with his ineffective runs.
Many times in today's game KO stood right of the tackled player, with Burton parked 2 passes off the left..THE WHOLE GAME....and instead of Mahoney giving it to KO, he passes it to Perham who has inserted himself between Dummy half and KO, and Mahoney passed it to him and he jinks off his left then right then left then surrenders in the tackle. This is tackle 2 then 4....almost EVERY FUCKING SET. SOMEBODY please tell Perham we don't need his Flanagan impersonation, and fuck off out of the way so Mahoney can give it to KO.
And please, SOMEBODY tell Burton he's allowed to roam left AND RIGHT AND link up with KO. NO IDEA. These guys must NOT watch what Cleary, Hynes, Cherry Evans, etc etc etc do.

Before anyone has a crack at Hayze.. he was the only one pushing up on many of his hit ups. Our half wasn’t getting in position to demand the ball, neither was anyone else.
Not going to blame Hayze. He’s putting his hand up and having a go.
We DESPERATELY need a half.
KO is looking more like a lock imo.

Maybe mahoney is a racist and thinks they're the same player

Are you as surprised as I am? He leads tackle breaks top 10 in nrl ! So weird cause he does stifle attack
So the worst two fullbacks in the comp lead the kick return metres. Interesting. Maybe they try harder in this area because they have nothing anywhere else on the field.

A lot of his runs are sideways runs and he gets a lot of his tackle breaks from fending away a defender but just going sideways and not breaking the defensive line.

Someone like Jack Bird has a million tackle breaks a game from the same thing. He'll lose 5 metres by running across the whole field sideways but get 4 tackle busts in a run.

But some of the penalties conceded are just so dumb.

That we can do better at.

The wrestle technique must be better. We dont put them on their back EVERY time, like they do to us. We have too many shIrt pullers (Oki) grapplers (RFM) untidy technique (Waddell) lazy too often (TPJ and Burton) and we all know the individuals in the backline's defensive woes.

Overall they just aren't anywhere near as robust and aggressive as the top teams are and of course we aren't as big.... We can match it with the lesser teams but we are not matching defence and aggression with the clubs vying for Top 8.
