Former NRL player Paul Vaughan is facing a long ban in the Super League for a tackle on Sione Mata'utia.

Paul Vaughan (Warrington Wolves) – Grade E Unnecessary contact – Refer to Tribunal

From what I saw Vaughan has been referred due to trying to lift up Mata'utia after he was staying down trying to milk a penalty. Just assisting him to his feat, according to Vaughan.

Guy was obviously trying to soak up the clock with 30 secs remaining. Nothing more infuriating than watching players feign injury in the dying seconds of a match.

Your kidding right. Sione was just trying to kill the clock and as soon as Vaughan pulled him up he played the ball just fine. Mate, that will do me.

There's more;

Former NRL star Paul Vaughan is facing a long suspension in the Super League for a bizarre incident.

The 32-year-old middle forward was referred straight to the judiciary and is facing a four-to-six week ban for a Grade E charge.

The Warrington prop is under fire for attempting to drag St Helens player Sione Mata'utia to his feet following a tackle during their clash.

Mata'utia - also a former NRL star with the Knights - was taken to ground by Vaughan and then looked injured, band eing slow to get to his feet, prompting Vaughan to grab his shirt pull.

If found guilty and banned, Vaughan's Super League season will be over.

Prominent long-time Australian commentator Andrew Voss said, "this charge is a gee up, surely" in response to the Vaughan vision on X, formerly Twitter.

It would be a major blow for the Wolves given Vaughan has been arguably the form forward of the Super League this season, having run the most metres in the competition.

Vaughan should walk away from that joke league and we’ll pick up whatever he is walking away from.

That Kenny Edwards dickhead who played for Parra used to do it every week.

Of course, he would be, it's the English Super League.

Anway throw the book at him, makes Barbecue gate look like a misdemeanor.
