i think this is a twighlight year for bobcat. All the tackling over the years takes its toll.

i hope he sees his career out with the dogs but you seriously can only sign him up on a 1 year deal after this. Then give him a proper dogs sendout!

With the reduced interchange he will be an even more valuable asset for the club this year and hopefully he will re-sign with us. If he goes elsewhere then we will cope. Good second rowers are popping up like bacteria at the Bulldogs lately.

Easily replaceable imo.
Top player but as I said he is just about over the hill.
I would only offer him a 1 year deal after next year.
I remember people unleashing at me this time last year about lard arse omeley and the suggestion that they should have released him to keep Roy Asotasi.
This will be a similar scenario, keep a dude past his best or move forward.
I know what I would do.

To be perfectly honest, if Parra do get Ryan for whatever reason, then I say it's open season on their team... there's some pretty decent players in their FG side that I'd go after with our money... ;)

Imagine Moi Moi as a Bulldog... now that would be interesting IMO... :grinning:

Dont see why they need him at this stage. He doesnt answer any questions for them.

If Ryan leaves the dogs i have a feeling it will be for ESL not the eels.

No chance of Ryan going back to Parra. He left the club on very bad terms partly related to comments he made to Brian Smith regarding his desire to play for the club he adored in his childhood the Bulldogs

i doubt our captain he will go back to the eels, but from what i understand chad robinson and wagon are off contract at the end of 08, so that will free up a bit of cash for them, the reason i see them chasing him is maybe to take some pressure of hindmarsh to get a another year or so out of him..

either way interesting times ahead for the mighty doggs
