The Penrith Panthers could be in danger of losing yet another premiership star as the club could not come to terms on a new deal with an unsung forward.

Would definitely add mongrel to our pack.

Frizell (32) and Sorensen (30) are both at the stages at their career wanting big money contracts. Consistent players and can cover any position.

He's a good player but we don't need a starting second rower and as a middle I can only see him playing the same role he played at Panther and you couldn't pay him enough to come for that role imo.

Could this be the forward everyone is making poems in rumors about?

He's a very good player. I'd take him in a heartbeat. He can play middle and edge effectively. He wouldn't cost a fortune, has a high floor and a decent amount of upside.
He can't lock a deal at Panthers coz they can't pay him what he's after....

What makes you think he wouldn't cost a fortune?

That's because they have 6 Origin players this year and a tonne of highly rated youngsters on big money. Sorenson is 30. How much do you think he's going to cost?

Judging by fact he hasn’t extended at Panthers yet, he is probably looking for the biggest contract he can get. He’s 30, probably his last contract he will sign in the nrl, he’s playing career best footy. He will be looking to earn 600k+ a year. We should not splash that much on a back rower when we already have Kikau, Preston and Edwards

You're right in that he'd be after the most he could get, but I doubt anyone is giving him close to 600k. He'd probably get somewhere between 350-450k. Which would still be a huge increase from what he's on.
