Paintball Questions

Going Paintball-ing with about 40 of my mates on the weekend, wanted to know a couple of things.

1) Does it HURT?!
2) Do you get bruises after getting shot?
3) What is the equivalent of getting hit by a paintball?

yes it does hurt, yes you get bruises.. and i cant think of an equivalent haha

1. Yes. Closer the shot the more it hurts.
2. Depends on where you are hit and the range.
3. Not sure I can define this.

All in all a great experience, and doesn't hurt that much.

It hurts, but it’s bearable, your adrenalin would be kicking so you wont feel it as much.

Yes you will be bruised, and sometimes you’ll be bruised in places you didn’t know you got shot in

The closest thing to the pain would be if you were ever hit with a sling shot, it’s sort of like that.


And one more thing, and for the love of God, buy a groin guard.

head shots don't hurt much TBH, you will be wearing a mask, they just shock you a bit...

Think there's about 30+ boys & 10 girls coming, will be interesting on how this turns out. Probably buy some upgrades as well...

What happens if we shoot the ref? Might take a shot at him before we leave...


EDIT: Any tips on having quick trigger fingers? See on YouTube videos, all shoot with their pointing & middle fingers...

I think that's heartbreak ridge... if it is then it's awsome, the weapons are great, and the rules are relaxed..couple of things...

1- Don't get the automatic gun, it may sound like fun but you will lose your bullets very quickly and it jams alot.

2- Make sure you buy enough bullets, you need to shoot to have fun, if you are counting your bullets and worrying about them, you wont have fun.

a lot of guys in the Air Force were heavily into paintball. I went with them a few times. They were effing good and I got shot up heaps. It mildly hurts like everyone says. theres a 5 metre rule in most places where you cant shoot people within this range, hopefully people respect this rule.

My first hit I ever got was on the hand, and i would say thats the worst place to get hit. the worst thing about paintball are the crappy guns tbh. they jam a lot and arent very accurate. you will have fun brah, the goose didnt mind the pain so trust me you will be OK.

That's what I like about heart break ridge, they allow you to shoot point blank.... Love it
I agree about the hand, that's why you buy gloves, I found that the bullets ususally hurt more on bone then they do anywhere else.

If you get tagged, how does the ref call you out? Since everyone looks the same... can't go "OI YOU" or everyone will just stop & look @ him.

And how does he over see the match? Where does he stand?
