On stats this year souths performed reasonably without Luke. When we beat them by 1 they didn't have Luke but they also had a few other injuries at the same time.

If they lose him it makes a difference although not necessarily a game changing difference like If the cowboys lost thurston.

The main thing that stands out is what Wayne Bennett said months ago. If a teams forward pack stands up to souths pack then that team has a great chance of winning because souths have such a simple game plan reliant on winning the forwards battle.
