It's pretty simple and very obvious, we used 36 players in the NRL, most (not all) came from NSW Cup. Sensibly, in my view, we moved several players into their age group (HM & JF) out of NSW Cup for the second half of the season to give them more time to develop. As a result the NSW Cup team was squeezed from both ends, with a constantly changing playing roster. Hardly surprising that the team suffered.Hate to put a downer on things but we do need to have a serious look at what went wrong in NSW Cup .... just like having to play all 80 mins per game, you need to play all 27(?) rounds of the comp. Shame because at their peak in 2023 the cup side was playing very well. Anyway, with RFM and Topine and Perham leading the Dog's cup side in 2024, I reckon the Dogs will get back on track and win the thing!
Theres a good chance RFM, Topine and Perham won't even be here next year.Hate to put a downer on things but we do need to have a serious look at what went wrong in NSW Cup .... just like having to play all 80 mins per game, you need to play all 27(?) rounds of the comp. Well said - id add that the issues around players attitude to training would have impacted as well - no one one from hm was impacted but a few from sgball got game time in nsw cup - mazzone, sua, marshallIt's pretty simple and very obvious, we used 36 players in the NRL, most (not all) came from NSW Cup. Always a Bulldog
Yep, on the self-proclaimed best NRL show on television that delivers “rugby league from every angle” - ZERO mention of who won the Club Championship…. And, to your point on Buzz, it’s a positive club outcome, no chance he’s reporting or talking about that.Naturally there was no mention of it by rothfield on 360, the grub did have time to take a shot a Gus though
