All Bulldogs fans should be confident that things are on the up with our junior pathways now with todays GF success. There is now something tangible to work off and Gus and his team are doing well at this point.
People are mad because he was able to recruit decent players at penrith to keep them competitive during their rebuild.. they were in and out of the 8... he hasnt done anything for first grade here Yet.....

I understand that but it appears the attitude amongst the playing group and the way they've been allowed to bludge has been a contributing factor for a long while. He has bought ok of what has been out there and realisticly of what players who would want to come here under this losing attitude. Factor in also that those opposition players would have also picked up on the loser culture when they played us and many would not want to be part of it.

Hopefully this lazy training and loser thought process blow up has done the trick in getting us in the right mindset at least without that baggage.

Now its up to all our Admin and all our coaching staff to turn things around with this new roster.

I hate excuses too but it is real that the 17th team recruitment and increasing the salary cap has severely dented the list of players available to recruit.

We just have to accept at this stage that he has done the best possible job and it is what it is \_(ツ)_/¯. I mean we do have possibly the most credentialled, best back to come onto the market for years in Critta and a few handy guys we do know of so far.

We are all hoping for the best with these last few roster spots.

Penrith didn't make the 8 during the first couple of years in the rebuild though. We've only finished the first two years. We are only now just about finishing clearing out the junk.

For sure Alzz. It needs to be and all indications are we will have some fight in us next season and bludgers weeded out.
There was fight in us in the first 10 rounds this year. We were very unlucky to get injuries to some highly paid players and marquee recruits. We just didn’t have the depth and experience to cover the missing players and then it just snowballed. Fingers crossed we don’t have the same bad luck next season and the fight in us can at least go deeper into the season.

As you pointed expansion to include a 17th team and the increase in salary cap made recruiting just that little bit harder. This makes developing our own players so much more important.

Agreed, jnr pathways results this year were no fluke, lots of hard work went into these results.
