It’s Moses or Williams for me.

Crichton is a quality player sure. Fullback? Not sure. Has the freakish talent and attributes but not a slam dunk. Could well turn out to be and Cc and Gus would know better than us.

Though without a doubt before that happens we need Moses or Williams signed to play 7.

It's a tough one. On one hand I really don't like Moses and think he comes across as incredibly arrogant who plays for my most despised team.
On the other he's the only decent half available, albeit at overs of a million plus a season.

I kind of hope that we sign him purely to see the eels fans lose their collective minds and bring out the pitchforks.

Then Dylan Brown going to the dolphins would be the ultimate sweetener, and they are stuck with captain **** gutho

FMD what’s a genuine fullback?
just about every centre winger in first grade has played some at fullback
A specialist fullback as in has always played fullback. If you watch Kennedy's highlights even from lower grades he has a decent passing game. If you watch highlights of Crichton and Farnworth they never played one of those games at fullback and never had a passing game. There's usually a big difference between most experienced fullbacks and manufactured fullbacks (former wingers and centres). Good fullbacks can throw cut out passes when needed, set up their wingers for an overlap and organise the defensive line. From what I've seen Crichton and Farnworth would just offer the same at fullback as a third winger - finishing ability only mixed with a few linebreaks

Made a load of shit
the fullback 5 years ago which they all would have been is completely different to today
edwards Was leggless 3 years ago and dropped to reserve grade
crighton was a late bloomer through the best junior system line n the world and he has played a lot of fullback
i hate this saying “class fullback”
hughes Was a fullback so was hynes
a champion player can play anywhere and he will hopefully become that in the dogs colours

That tigers post is pure bullshit.

“we’ve offered the same as the dogs and parra, but he’s willing to come to the tigpies for an extra $100k of TPA..”

lay off it mate, people don’t commit career suicide there for anything less than 50% over market.

I’ve heard reliably he does not want to go to the Tigers. It’s not his preference. He wants us or Parra and Parra can’t match us. The problem is though, Tigers are offering more….
If true I hope we give enough carrot to close it. I don’t really think there’s any other position that could force us up the ladder so vital. He would take so much off burton and allow him to flourish. Has a relationship with Mahoney and would just add so much more to our squad.

If Crichton has played a lot of fullback in the lower grades then good but do we know that for sure ? He and Farnworth are pretty even athletically so whoever has played more fullback I'd be happy to go with. There's a bit of history with fullbacks becoming five-eights including Lockyer and Munster possibly because they were more ballplaying type fullbacks. I hope whoever we sign works out great and yes Ciraldo and Gus know a lot more than us but I just have concerns still that Crichton doesn't have one of the most important skills of the best fullbacks.

Surely Moses sees the writing on the wall. Does he really want to stay at the Eels with let's say no Brown and no Mahoney. Premiership window has closed. While ours is starting to open, Tigers just have a double brick wall, they need to find a good contractor to install a window before they can work towards opening it.

If Moses wants a chance at a Premiership before he retires, he only has one choice.

I think he will stay at parra, and if he does leave them, he will take the cash and go to the tigers . I heard on SEN yesterday, that we haven't even made him an offer.

I think everything hinges on the Salary Cap announcement. Nobody of note is wanting to sign anything atm. I think we would put an offer in front of Moses once it os clear what’s happening with the cap. This will work in the players benefit either way. I think Parra will find more money for him. I think the Tigers have gone way overs and won’t go more.

Unless he sees us as the best option for a title and comes for less. I don’t see him coming to the dogs. This is also the mindset I would prefer a player to come anyway. The player needs to want to play for us. Not just because our wallet is bigger.

He has played at the tigers and his uncle is a club legend, that, plus the money, definitely tip the scales in their favour

$1m+ for a guy who has never lead his team to glory or strings back to back belter games for his club on a consistent basis.. LMAO what a joke.

Id rather we get holdsworth back than spend $1.2m on that hack Moses.

If he didn't want to go to the Tigers, why would the media even be reporting it though?

The way Tigers are tossing around money at the moment, I wouldn't be suprised if they have a salary cap issue in years to come. Seems to be desperation signings, rather than well though through ones.

Lets not forget they still have Luke Brooks on over a million a season in 2023, so maybe they are thinking of releasing him after 2023, and giving Moses his salary. That still leaves them short a half though.

Tigers 2023 spine I (think) is:
1. Dane Laurie
6. Luke Brooks
7. ???
9. Api Koroisau
