Can't see anything really improving while we have a useless 7 and an average 1 with Barrett as coach. I and others got sick of saying Burton needed an experienced 7 but our club didn't seem to think it was a priority. We could have signed Shaun Johnson for a little more. We could have signed Sezer, could have signed Reynolds. We could have signed up and comer Hynes even. We could have signed Hastings if it wasn't for bad blood between him and Barrett. He f..ked us there also.

Seems the only way we're getting out of this is to have a fire sale for players who aren't even off contract yet so we'd need to contribute (Thompson, Jacko, Allen, Flanagan) and upgrade our 7 AND 1 but where are these players even coming from ? The only 1 and 7 I could see getting us out of this mess would be George Williams and Reece Walsh or Latrell Mitchell IF his body is even up to playing fullback.

Even bigger priority is getting Shane Flanagan as coach IMO. Unfortunately Gould still seems to have faith in Barrett. He must see something that none of us see. I'd be over the moon just to see us score 1 single try from a Barrett drilled set move. 2 tries last week were all JAC. The other Dufty's passing skills.

When is Barrett going to be responsible for one single F..KING try assist ?

What the f..k is his obsession with playing Averillo, JMK and Waddell ? They're all coach killers. If he keeps playing them he deserves whatever he gets.

Why, do you really think that the losing culture now instilled in the club for the past 5 years is going to change?

An improvement from last year would be top 10. Anything lower than that is simply a fail with the new recruits we have.

Get rid of ALL coaching staff before they infect our recruits with the sickness, like they did with Burton and JAC.

It’s either get rid of them or they need to drastically change the message they are giving the players. I’m sure they are all capable but what they have spent the entire pre season scheming has gone up in flames.

Coach is our biggest problem

Our roster on paper should be Top 8, but unfortunately our entire coaching staff needs to be completely revamped for us to be any chance.

We literally look gassed after 30 minutes, our coach doesn't even rotate our bench properly and our structures wouldn't fool a U10s side. I would gamble the way we play we would lose to most NSW Cup teams let alone NRL teams

Is he though? Penrith won the comp after he left and are probably better this year after losing a couple of gun players..

He needs a new profession because he is useless with footy.

We have had a succession of impotent boards so the real question is what decisions they make about players and recruitment going forward. I look at the cowboys & broncs and their teams all have suffered in recent years but they have blooded good juniors who are now starting to realize what the NRl is about and this year you can see the results. What's more their clubs recruited sensibly on roster gaps. They both have new coaches who have got their teams on board and actually have match plans and rehearsed plays. Nothing will really change until we have a board that isn't all about politics & giving ex footballers and mates jobs. Where are our juniors...if players like Averillo are the best we got then god help us.

Rebuilds are a lie. Any team can go from the bottom to the top. We did it in 2009 with Kevin More ffs.

These are the facts and nothing can alter them as it now stands.

Gould needs to work out improvements whatever that entails.

Technically we have improved on last year already, winning as many matches as all last year by round 8. Sure we arent killing it, but there is improvement. The team composition isnt there yet either. Mahoney and Kikau will make a massive difference. Anyone saying they wont are just having a cry and being ridiculous. The new players so far have been fine. JAC has been good, TPJ too. Burton could be better but is at least an improvement on who we had and should improve more.

Averillo is reserve grade std and needs time to be FG ready, Jacko is being used wrong. Naden needs to improve sharply or fuck off. Hes probably the only new player im not impressed by.
